My 2020 Highlander has the 2GR-FKS 3.5L V6 engine. Performs well at speed, makes a pretty good sound for a V6 when giving it the beans, but its pretty noisy when idling–lot of clatter, like a diesel.

I had an 84 toyota pickup thst i bought used in 86. That 22R engine was indestructible.
I have a 1990 Camry with 320K miles. It runs well and has the 3S-FE engine.
22R motor runs & runs & runs
The 22RE used in Toyota pickups were (and still are) bullet proof if maintained….
