Kill Switch Install For Toyota 4Runner

Kill Switch Install For Toyota 4Runner

In this video, I show you how I installed my kill switch for my 1999 Toyota 4Runner. It taps into the fuel pump wire and kills power to the fuel pump thus preventing the vehicle from starting.

SW Video says:

Thanks for the video. I can now say the same wire is in the 01 4Runners and this worked great. Hardest part was finding a good spot for the switch and fabbing up a mount.

Mikey Potts says:

Just to wanted to add some value and say that 16 gauge primary wire has been working just fine, thanks again!!

DJ DOHC says:

What color wire is for 06 4runner??

Rob Ormiston says:

Can you hook it to your starter wire so it won't even turn over?

Rob Ormiston says:

In my pee brain the circle on the switch makes more sense on it's running. A circle shows a continuous cycle in my pee brain. The strain line represents in my pee brain an intermetten situation. I've always been confused about this. Lol

Rob Ormiston says:

You can use a torch to heat shrink too.

David B says:

Does the light turn on the switch. when it’s on the on position? Thanks for the helpful video

Roidxn says:

would this work on a 2010 corolla? ik it’s a pretty big difference but i’d like to know

fechten says:

Miles says:

2002 model doesn't have the blue and orange cable

BJ Miguel III says:

Is this the power wire of the fuel pump? Is it safety to put the switch on the ground side of the fuel pump?

Jonathan Nelson says:

How do you not have a million subscribers yet

Gewglesux says:

I think a photo of my Ex's Momma in the cab will beat any switch install.

Smuckers T says:

Same for 1998. Though the wire is thicker than I imagined. I might solder the wires and use liquid electrical tape, I'm not as sure of my crimp skills as I am my soldering skills

Emanuel Goldstein says:

Can anyone verify that the 5th Gen 4Runner fuel pump wire is blue with the orange stripe as well? Cheers y'all…

Skye Dejager says:

Thank you for this its been hard to find what wire to cut into

Mike says:

I’d like to do this on my 4Runner. I’ll check if my wires look the same..

TitanJake says:

Mannnn you are the best. This video is great

Juan Diaz says:

Dont share your location. Dont dont.

Jean Carlo Jean Louis says:

Could you please tell me what car alarm should I use for my 2001 regular 4runner?

Giorgio N says:

Can you do the andy mod tutorial?

PINOY AUTOMOTO GPS MASTER says:

Excellent kill switch installation bro

Polonium Fist says:

If anyone decides to do this, before you begin work on electrical components, you should disconnect the cars battery and wait a few minutes for all capacitors to deplete, otherwise you run the risk of blowing fuses or destroying electrical components when you make mistakes.

I blew an ECU fuse trying to turn off my TMPS light and my car wouldn't leave park. I am lucky a fuse blew and nothing worse.

The regular guy says:

Awesome video. I have a 96 myself and i'm thinking of doing this to my vehicle. I don't know exactly how you wired it to the button. So you cut the wire, and connect a longer wire on each end of that (cut) wire, then connect those two (extended) wires to the button to hide it? I wish i could post a picture here 🙁

Dallin Williams says:

I have a 5th Gen. Is the fuel pump wire in the same spot as your 3rd gen?
