How to replace your Toyota brakes : Part 1 Disassembly

A Toyota master diagnostic technician explains how to replace your toyota brakes the right way like a professional would at a shop.

In this video series I will share all the tips and tricks for brakes that I have learned from over a decade of experience working with a Toyota dealership.

I’ll cover complete brake disassembly including Calipers, pads and Rotors.

I will also show you how you can tell aftermarket pads and rotors from original in this series.

What is your opinion on using CRC Brakleen Pro to clean the rotors and calipers without disassembling the brake assembly? Can we just spray and clean (wipe and maybe brush) the brake assembly after of course removing the tire?

Quick brake question, AMD….I want to replace the brake fluid in our 2017 but wondering if bleeding is any different with those regen brakes? I know the pump starts as soon as I open the car door so that worries me

I Have a 2013 highlander 4×4 the parts guy says front calipers are either Japan or American made. How to tell the difference?

Vah-ming Moua says:

Hello there.
I tried looking up your email with no luck.
I'm about to order front rotors, pads, little retaining clips and shims for my 2018 toyota highlander xle awd and would like to know if you could tell me the parts number to the oem parts and not the economy ones. I'm just having a hard time finding those online.
Thanks!

My wife has a 2018 Camry hybrid with 42,000 miles on it. Recently we noticed the brakes making noise and yes one brake pad on the drivers side back was completely worn down. When I checked the brakes all the pads were almost new except one. What could cause thios to happen? One pad on the outside worn bare and the rest in near new condition?

Ab Abner says:

Are the Camry hybrid brakes done the same way as the normal cars?
