What happened to the 2nd part, the Exterior door handle? I need to do that
too. I laughed at the Metal Gear Solid sound effect, subbed just for
that. But yeah, where’s the 2nd part? I did the interior ones already
but it looks like the exterior ones need me to remove the entire interior
panel because it screws from the inside

I have several Corollas. It seems that it is not just the handle getting
old and brittle, it seems that it takes more effort to open– you have to
pull harder and further to get the door to unlatch, causing more stress on
the door handle. I have replaced several interior door handles. Has anyone
determined what the extra ‘friction’/binding may be coming from? Seems like
some WD-40 might help if you could find the right spot to spray it. +

Why do all the tutorials make it look so easy? When I try to clip on the
plastic yellow part to the metal rod, it is extremely difficult to fit. The
plastic door handle itself gets in the way and I can’t even fit the part
in? Any advice?

same sht happened to my toyota.. 🙁 cant find the metal rod thing tho cause
it fell down when the handle broke off

It looks easy because I edited the first 5 mins of me messing up. But to
get the plastic yellow part in to the metal rod you need either need to be
patient and keep trying or get someone with small hands to help you. If you
see at the 1:35 or so mark I fit the handle in and through the right side
opening, I maneuver my finger to lift and insert the rod into place. I
would advise you try that or maybe use a thin stick or rod instead of your
finger if your finger is too big. I hope this helps.
