Glad to see this video. Need a new front cover due to a snow drift on the
road breaking it. As easy as it looks, I won’t do it myself because of
physical issues. But it is good to note that there really isn’t much behind
that cover except the windshield bottle and lights. Makes one wonder then
why to replace it requires 3.5 hours at $75 to paint it, 2.0 hours at 76
for labor, 3.5 hours @35 material.

I used this video as a guide for replacing the bumper on my girlfriend’s
2008 model. The video was spot on, and the only thing I would add is a
reminder that if your car is a couple years old and you live in a hot,
sunny climate, you really need to have some spare clips on hand. Here in
New Mexico, those plastic clips have a usable lifespan of one use before
they start snapping in half.
nice video but what if the side with the headlights don’t snap all the way
cause my car as a little piece of the cover sticking out but will not snap
in all the way is there a way to get it snap in thank you
WIth a little pressure it should snap right back in for you.
That black plastic piece is considered the wheel well cover. It protects
the vehicle from collecting large amounts of road salt and debris as well
as act as a noise dampener.
