hi while changing my gauges cluster lights and cleaning the fuel
indicator has been moved i try to return it to the right position but
again it come to the wrong place so where is problem and how i can
solve it thanks
its great.iam newbie thank guys
Great video. Its a difficult job though most people that can use a wrench
can do this task.
good video
Amazing fucking video thank you so much bro!
2200 engine? I never heard of it but I think it’s the 5sfe engine? Great
video though.
@SteveXnycperformance What the point of lucas?
Most Toyota EFI cars fuel pump are located in the Tank.it is accessible by
removing the rear seat and the metal cover screwed to the flood board. The
fuel filter is located on the right side of the engine compartment, next to
the air filter box. the air box will need removal for fuel filter
replacement.( the top fitting is a banjo fitting and the bottom fitting is
a standard screw in flared fitting – Viewing this video is the same )
thank you. i will had the infor to the video.thank you sir.
it`s about a 30 minute job, can`t see it cost more the $100, plus remember
corrosion and other factory may cause fatigue.
yeah it runs like a bear! im pleased with it. recently ive put alot of time
into the engine, replacing all gaskets on the motor, sandblasting parts at
work, repainting, all new hoses ,radiator, sensors . countless things but
ill tell you what, when i pop the hood it looks like it just came off the
asembly line. why? well its not the greatest car but its the last thing my
dad gave me before he passed so i intend on keeping it forever.. its that
light metallic blue
Is this the same for a 1992 model?
Yes, the water pump does ride on the timing belt. You should also replace
the camshaft/crankshaft seal and The Two idler pulley. A Complete timing
set would include all these parts.
Where is the rubber oring in the steel line flare? I don’t see it. Is there
anywhere I can get a replacement?
@SteveXnycperformance That’s another good pointer. Exhaust manifold seems
surprisingly hot. Since I changed fuel filter, engine seems to stay cooler
a lot longer. After 20 minute drive, it still was not up to its normal
temp. Maybe I do see some more power. I had to replace the O2 monitor a few
years ago. I’ve used fuel injector cleaners before and maybe I let it get
too concentrated and I read that can also blow the O2. Good battery idea if
I let it sit again.
what if im not experienced in this and i want to try it alone for the first
time, is that safe?
Hi, you drop the second copper washer.
@SteveXnycperformance how did you open the air filter box? i unclipped the
4 clippings i tried hard to pull it out it wont come out i think theres
bolts holding it together??
depends on which car you tried this on, if you did it on a 1996-2001 camry
and thought it was easy, i would be amazed. they’re famously hard to get
off.
Thanks so much. I was having enormous trouble getting mine undone but your
suggestion of using a stilson wrench & turning filter with a spanner
instead of the nut on the pipe worked perfectly. Top nut is 17mm, nut
attached to bottom of filter is 19mm bracket nuts are 10mm & nut on pipe is
14mm. Just a hint to loosen the clamp around the filter you might want to
take out the nut on the bracket first. That will let you get a socket onto
the nut that releases the clamp. Hope this helps.
@SteveXnycperformance How about 93? same location?
well i just got out from under the camry, there is one smaller filter
mounted off the tank, then the bigger filter mounted by the driverside
shock tower as you show in the video. got the filter for 13 bucks, mine is
slightly different with a claw like side but the same in principal. i just
sea foamed the car at 196k miles, about to change the oil and swap in the
new fuel filter. car cost 900, strong runner, put 500 into it replacing
worn beyond efficient components
@speck444 NO!. Its the old washer from the used fuel filter. The old washer
was sitting on the transmission case and fell while moving the harness
around. I`m the BEST!.
your looking at it :-).. don`t burn yourself now.
Ok. I’m def not going to replace that. is the water pump on my 94 camry
connect to the timing belt?
nope your car will definitely blow up.
old compress copper washers are not re-useable and will cause a future leak
due to vibration. .
whay didn’t you show the rubber o ring if there is one, ?? and if there is
one how come it doesn’t come with the filter?
My car has been having that same problem. It stops whenever I come to a
stop, yield, or change gears. I’ve changed the fuel pump and it was working
fine for three days until it began doing the same thing again. The fuel
pump is clean. When I changed the fuel filter, the old filter gasoline was
black like a dirty cup of water to clean paint brush. Should I change the
fuel injectors?
and judging from the body.. its a car from out west.. great shape no road
salt exposure. is there a way to tell from the vin or any other place where
the car was deployed in the states?
@HudsonKnowsEconomics a clogged Catalytic convertor will cause serious
damage to the engine and o2 sensor. Clogged exhaust system will cause
burning of the exhaust valve affecting valve seal performance. just make
sure the exhaust manifold is not glowing red hot.a clean fuel system
promote fuel efficiency and optimum performance.a battery will last a long
time, just make sure you disconnect the cable from the terminal.
