Woah 9 months since i was last here.., im glad you came to your senses on the upgrades . Theres just no way A stock tacoma with 4×4 sticker could do simple rock climbing

Travelwarrior says:

Very cool video, you have really nailed the content, look forward to seeing it progress

Marco Chavanne says:

I turned wrenches professionally for a decade but never attempted this. Honestly it doesnt look bad at all. Kind of want to try throwing some 4.88s in my GX460 now

TWGaming says:

ARB has a bracket to mount one of their twin compressors under the hood

Mohkin B says:

Can’t wait to see the final testing!!

Why China gears

TomKatt181 says:

As someone who is a mechanical engineer for an industrial gearing company it is great to see someone taking the time to explain gears, how they work in a differential and explaining the verbiage so people who don't know anything about gearing can understand it better. Also as someone who does buildups for gearboxes and such, a lot of times it makes sense to us because we're the one's the designed and built it even after peer review. That is not to say we don't make the explanation simple, easy or in some cases make since. Feedback on instructions is always appreciated and it helps us, the engineers, help you, the customer, achieve your goals. That being said if there is ever something you notice, like checking the gap with a feeler gauge with all the shims in and how difficult it was, that you think of a better way to do, reach out and let them know.

Big fan. I'm in Olympia area. I wanna fit 33s on my 3rd gen Tacoma. I've got wheel spacers and a small lift on already. Should I need UCAs? And will an OV tune help me get some mpg back with the stock gears?

Jon Hill says:

I'm using the hypertech odometer correction on my 3rd geb. You can program it for any tire size, and your gears. 4WP often carries them.

Levi Hermoua says:

Great contents as always. I just recently put in an E-locker in my clamshell, why did you remove the actuator from the axle tube? Was this for maintenance?

Macs Specialities says:

Nate, I see a car hoist in your near future! lol

Tim Woodson says:

Cali-Raised Offroad has plastic switch panels that fit into the stock locations

Evan Moon says:

Between a burrito and taco, I always choose Toyota taco

Tekton says:

Awesome content as always, Nate!

BigBeansM3 says:

If you put a little heat in the ring gear you can drop it right on the carrier, no beating or drawing it on needed.

Scott Nason says:

Meso customs makes beautiful stuff

Sherpa Motorsports says:

Really excited to see this all together at Hammers! You'll have to come and find us so we can get the rigs together. The switch panel definitely looks into SDHQ Bezel for a Switch-Pro, Yukon makes a little compressor that's easy to package specific to lockers but you'd have to get crafty. Hypertech makes a speedo calibrator that we have used on a 2nd Gen Tacoma. Talk ADV Fiberglass into making some crazy cool hood, they have been killing it with the new Bronco. Good work Nate, stoked for the final product!
