Kine Genetics says:

Lmao I thought Toyota destroyed thier vehicles in 2003 when they left the timing chains and started making plastic junk and stopped making vehicles easily serviced at home, and the list goes on…

Don Brutcher says:

A battery powered transit van camper would work great if it also had a 25 HP diesel motor/generator set. The baby diesel could maybe run at full load for 12 hours on 7 gal of fuel powering all appliances, extending the battery range, and recharging the batteries at the end of the day.

J Y says:

Does that oil cleaner work on carbon around the valves and ports.

Tex says:

You're bang on with the 2022 Tundra verdict. It will be interesting to see how this will impact the sales and how Toyota will handle this. Oh, and what's up with having to take the cab off (seriously, Toyota???) to work on the turbo? ROTFFLMFAO What's happening at Toyota??? To everyone considering a 2022 Tundra, at least know if you decide to get one, you were warned.

The Train Hopper says:

I never understood how the "environmentalists" skipped over plug in hybrids and went right for electric cars. Actually I'm not surprised. These are the same people that thing a 225 mph high speed train is more useful than a 90 mph diesel train. They don't realize that long distance round trips average 300 miles total. A 90 mph train or a plug in hybrid would be more than adequate.

Panther Dagger says:

Scotty will always push sticking with an old reliable beater…but, after awhile, it gets old..I've been rocking a 20yr old truck now for..well 20 yrs..just picked up a new Ford p/up & what a difference..night & day..all new technology & bells and whistles..yeah..more to break & nearly impossible to change plugs and starter & so forth..but it's nice to have something new every few years…nothing beats that feeling of going out in yr garage admiring yr new ride. The tundra has issues..but eventually it will be righted..it's just unfortunate for those new owners..but technology has to move forward…Toyota took the risk, but they had to…that V8 as reliable as it is…was extremely thirsty. I'll take a new ride & new technology any day..but that's just me…

Saku19 says:

I guess I'm sticking with 4.0 Tacoma for a little while longer.

Sal Balakrishnan says:

I saw these problems coming a mile away. too many points of failure. In this instance a stupid solenoid bricked the entire vehicle. Hey, lets take a rock solid V8 battle tank and instead of refining it, lets F with it and see what happens. Hold my flat beer.

bill frete says:

Damnit! now what do i do 🙁

ASAJAY unknown says:

I feel the same way about the GM 350. There's a reason there are 1000s of brand new crate engine versions of the 350. They work, often "forever".

Dom Johnson says:

Scotty how do you face us pumping up Toyota for so long then explain one blunder after another after another?

Dave C. says:

The EPA is destroying vehicles. Same reason we have piss tanks on diesel trucks and you can't get an economical diesel suv in the US like you can in Europe. Our regulations are entirely up-side-down.

Donovan Lewis says:

The V8 is dead get over it. You can't keep running these gas hogs that pollute like mad. It is simply not possible to make a V8 efficient when it comes to fleet avg. MPG and dealing with the worst types of emissions, NOx specifically. Light duty vehicles are the largest source of emissions in the country, you can't keep polluting the environment the way we are just because you want a V8. The V6 with a turbo will replace the V8 but its days are numbered also. It's time to get over it and realize what is going to happen.

My Corona says:

2:37 my new ringtone

Lee Thomas says:

I can't imagine pulling a 7000 pound camp trailer with a 3.4 turbod v6 and have it go well

B Bru says:

I buy a truck to haul stuff. I wont buy one with a V6. Period.

The Guy says:

Put rat traps in your garage!
