modern cars are like a 1985 jeep cherokee..lift the bonnet, go humm,, then close it..mercedes, front align..they cave so much when turning, that, is why they wear, but, it handles. same as bmw, lotus escort, or any, performance car.

Ray, I like the terminology that you use for describing things such as when you called the sunroof a "chimney" and other names like "nater" but I heard you rephrase the odometer as the "Oh-doh-meter" and I have used that term since you said it and it fit perfectly with you're word descriptions on cars and wish you'd go back to using that word because odometer sounds boring, call it a "customer request". Keep up the great vids with the tutorials for us, the days not complete until you've seen a Rainman Ray's video!

Hi Ray – Thank you for your post, I find your channel informative and very pleasing to watch. Question on the Mercedes, I own a similar year and model and am curious for your opinion about the ECO feature where the engine stops at traffic lights. Is this ECO feature rally an earth saving feature and how detrimental is the additional wear and tear to my vehicle restarting dozens of time each trip? Thanks Ray

Your job is easy compared to the junk that Eric Ohas to work on .He is really good.

My wife only drives German cars and they wear tires and they are expensive, especially if they are run flats and staggered ( no rotating them). Your analysis is spot on, it’s the owner. Also, I’m glad you touched on LT tires, I replace a set of tires on my Superduty every 30,000 miles. I have owned 13 trucks in my life and have never got much more than that on a set of tires. I know others that get 50-60k on a set of tires, however I don’t… towing, off-road and skinny petal input I guess pays off on tire wear. For now I’ll stick to replacing skins every 30k

Ken Pressley says:

I really enjoyed the tire tutorial. I'll do my homework next time I need tires for my vehicles. Thanks, Ray.
