SNORKEL KIT: https://ebay.us/YDyriP

In today’s video I will show you how to install a snorkel kit on my Chevrolet Tracker (Suzuki Grand Vitara). The kit comes from Australia and is made specifically for the 2nd gen trackers and Vitaras. It is molded to follow the body lines and ride perfectly up the A-pillar. I show you how to align the template, punch and drill the mounting holes, and rivet the upper bracket in place.

Take a look at my other videos for more Tracker content, as well as other Barely Built Right projects.

Just a couple of suggestions. Any hole you drill through your paint use a cheap artist type paint brush, spray a little quality paint in the cap apply with brush.

Apply some butyl type sealer over holes and around high areas and sides, you can leave a small drain area down in the lowest spot as a possible drain.

Add some waterproof material at all connections at final install.

Something over the inlet (they have products for this) to stop driving rain or snow or reverse the direction of inlet. Remember you are trying to stop water from getting into the inlet.

The tracker is pretty cool is it 2wd or 4wd

Lol, Obi Wan guiding you in your mission was on point…. it feels that way working on our vehicles sometimes….

All in all it looked like an easy mod, how long did it take you to do and did it feel like you did anything wrong that made it take longer or was there a shortcut you took not in the instructions that you knew to do that sped up the process?
