Suzuki GSX-R600 Puig Standard Windscreen Install Video

In this video I show how I installed a “dark smoke” Puig standard windscreen on my K8 Gixxer. This isn’t a “how to” video, but rather just a documentary of w…

Thanks for the tip! Nice video 🙂

Thanks for the comments, but I’ve tried riding while looking through the windscreen and it makes my neck hurt after about 30 seconds. . . so I won’t be doing that ever again.

supersaiz29 says:

Do 140 sitting up and the. Again down On your tank and see the difference. Even so much as practical purposes of dodging the rain drops smacking you in the face caught on a day with no helmet. — anyways not trying to ramble or argue, your video was very nicely executed. I’m just saying as you continue to ride longer you might find yourself using it.

supersaiz29 says:

But with smoked, colored, or even black screens, glasses, visors. U sacrifice look for visibility. As to not using yohr windscreen while riding. Try it sometime. Its really not that uncomfortable drop your arms down lower your mirrors and rest your chin just above your tank. Sure crussin around town your not going to but hit the highway. Or when your (breaking the law) speeding 100+ mph dropping down with just the tip of your helmet over your winscreen greatly increases comfort and aerodynamics

supersaiz29 says:

Nice video, very detailed and informative with nice clear video and sound. As to the previously made comments about looking through the windscreen. I am about to order a dark smoke screen for my gsxr, as my bike is black and I think it will look very nice. BUT I do have concerns with visibility because it does effect your visibility. I have had a dark smoke visor on my helmet. And yes it is like wearing dark sunglasses vs clear protective eyewear. Sure on a sunny day you have enough visibility

Just go to everythinggsxr and narrow the search on the right hand side to GSX-R 600 and you’ll see the Service Bulletin about 2/3rds of the way down. It only says its for the K8 though. . . it the dealer won’t take care of the problem then try removing the sensor and spraying is down with brake cleaner and then putting it back on. That worked for me until the o2 was replaced!

I’ve got a gsxr 600 k9 I have the same problem at 5000 rpm , Didn’t know what it was then watched your video hopefully thats the same as mine, Its been driving me MAD

TwistDaRist says:

belkins1 says:

nice bike man…. i just put a zero gravity dark smoke double bubble on my k9 600.. i had trouble with those nylon screws they suck.. i went to kawasaki dealer and got some titanium screws they work and look much better.

TwistDaRist says:

Yeah but the icon decal was made out of paper so it got all messed up when it got wet! They need to make a vinyl one!

FuzzyBiker101 says:

Did you put that icon sticker on the old one? I want one :p

TwistDaRist says:

No harm done! I’m just glad that you learned something from it! ; ) lol For future reference you probably shouldn’t comment on something that you have no experience with. . . just saying. : )

joseph182182 says:

Too true sir haha

vaggelis t. says:

@TwistDaRist now i’m thinking about it, i think my comment was very foolish. a few times you want to go veryyy fast and you “hide” behind the windscreen for les air resistance, so i thought it lowers the visibility. as you understand, i ‘ve never driven an ss bike, so i suppose this might happen, but i was wrong.

TwistDaRist says:

Why go the cheap route on a bike that I spent good money on?! haha

TwistDaRist says:

No offense taken. I’ve been riding for a year and a half and I can say absolutely without a doubt that I’ve never looked through a windscreen while riding, and know for a facty that I never will, because it’s impossible! My head would have to be coming out of the gas tank to even see out of the windscreen! lol For this reason I don’t understand why you would say it “lowers the visibilty”???

joseph182182 says:

why didnt you just spray paint the stock one lol… im cheap haha

vaggelis t. says:

the new windscreen is very beautiful but i don’t like it. no ofence. i don’t wan’t o insult you but in my opinion it lowers the visibility. your gixxer is very beautiful. take care riding and upload some videos riding the gixxer.
