Would doing this on my 02 suzuki sv650s be similar to your bike?
A good video, very useful as I’ve just got one of these bikes after being
away from two wheels for several years. I’ve just ordered some pads for the
front and rear, so this will help a lot, as well as your other video.
hey there. apologies for not showing the copper grease, thought i had. I
just smear the copper grease on the rear of the pad, around where the
piston will push against it, just to give it some sort of “protection” if
you would, instead of just metal on metal all the time
Thanks a million for the quick and helpful reply and again thanks for the
video; brake pads ordered 🙂
Glad it’s going well for ya chum, just keep an eye out, don’t want to ruin
the discs with pads word down too much 🙂
help a lot mate!!! thanks heaps…. turns out mine are pretty solid pads
lol. ive had the bike for 5200kms and they still dont need changing.. dont
know how long previous had them
Thanks!! We have the same bike but mine is silver. You were a big help!!!
haha thanks mate. no i mean i have still got about 6mm left on the pad
itself. i dont push my rears…
Really helpful thanks for posting this, you mentioned for the fronts (and I
presume rears aswell) to use copper grase on the pads; but I did not see
you use them; should I use it and if so where on the pad?
Hey nice bike! Always nice to see another SV1000S IN THE CORRECT COLOR!
hey there! thanks for watching, glad it was of help :). subscribe to the
channel, will hopefully be doing more soon such as clutch fluid change and
brake bleeding etc 🙂
No a problem brother man! Glad I could be of any help :). Check out my new
vlogs I’ve started too if you’ve got time ;). Good luck with the
replacement pads!
