I tried replacing the brake pads on my sv650 today for the first time. I
put the new brake pads in…then realized there wasn’t enough space to put
them back on the bike. Now I realize I forgot to push the pistons in.
/facepalm

Extension bar doesn’t add leverage man, for this you need to extend your
wrench extension bar EXTENDS your wrench to make it reach problematic
places… sheesh
