How did you hook up the wires from the Dyna S to the coils. Specifically the use of the extra red wire that came with the Dyna kit.
This is good stuff. I myself have suffered through the unf@cking of a '79 GS850G with VM carbs and cooked points. Your vids are well done, informative, and a pleasure to watch.
Hi, really enjoy your vids man. Just wanted to know, will this ignition system work on a gs850l? If do, where could I get it. I'm in Cape Town, South Africa. Thanks, regards.
hello friend can you tell me what size of jets you put?
I tried to put this onto my 550. When i put the new rotor on and tighten the hex bolt, the rotor gets pinched by the bolt and the rotor wont advance. I noticed that there is a washer on the plate that the old rotor sat on. Do I have to remove the washer so the rotor sits lower on the shaft? Alternative would be to shave a bit from the top of the rotor? You can see that the new rotor sits just a little bit too high on the shaft.
Can you install these Dyna kits on 650's? My ignitor is shit, and I can't find any cheap replacements. I was told they basically just connect to you coils, and everything is done.
Would this work on a GS425 I wonder?
so does this eliminate the ecm unit?
Hello, are CDI module is required here?
@forthebold do I order the DS2-1 or DS3-1? Thanks!
I've only got 2 wires a yellow and a black my dyna s has 3 white, red and black. Help
Where to get that?
If you were to rate this product, what would you rate it? I’m considering redoing my entire electrical system refresh and upgrades. This has come up a couple times in searches.
I'm putting this into my gs project when you insert the magnet your looks like the rim is just above the 2 lugs for nut washer as mine does but when I tighten this up with the bolt magnet won't move to push the spring loaded weights have ordered new bolt and nut did you have this issue ?
What about the part where you have spice the red wire into the coils? That's the part I don't fully understand.
Your jets need to be a lot bigger, i ride a 1982 gsx400f and the size of my main jets are 125. Just so you know.
heyhey, i have a gs550 too, thinking about a dyna system, just a quick question, the dyna systems seem to have 3 wires coming off them where as my original points only have 2, is the third just an earth?, thanks 😀
Hi just asking what is dyna ignition and its doesn't need CDi support? Tq
Good afternoon dear friend.
First of all, your videos are very good and explanatory.
I have a 1981 Suzuki GS850 that I transformed into a caferacer style. I think I have problems with the set-up (distribution chain). You have a PDF file of that procedure that you can share with me. Thanks from Chile.
Excellent work man, im actually starting to work on a 79 gs550 so these videos have been fantastic! keep up all the in depth stuff, all the complainers can skip the good videos and just watch the ones where the bike is running!
Does the dyna tech work with any engine size?
Heya, did you have to find 12v switched for this kit? I'm putting one on my gs750, and I'm having a hell of a time trying to find the source between the coils the instructions told me to use.
Great video, I have just finished installing the same ignition on my gs550, and was wondering what coils you are using?
I'm glad you did valve shim videos and such. Have same bike I'm rebuilding and you've helped out immensely.
did GS550 had almost the same parts as a suzuki 750GT? where did u buy the parts
Keep me coming build 100 of em lol
I remember when you were at vlog bearly starting keep the good job
Saludos desde México!!!
forget those other comments .. keep up the in-depth mechanical content. those are the people that rather pay a mechanic to build their bike… keep the great content coming
