Thanks for making this tutorial. I tried this process today.
I have a question about the caliper shim (the small, square one). I didn’t pay enough attention when I took it off, so I don’t know what orientation to put it back on in. The few times I tried the shim just kept falling to the ground as I put the caliper back on the bike.
Also, my insulators won’t fit so I left them off. With the insulators, I can’t get enough clearance between the brake pads at about the last 1/4″ of re-install 🙁
Unfortunately I live in UK, and from Google shopping, they’re all quite expensive for a tool I will maybe use twice in my life. Perhaps I’ll borrow one…. thanks
I would highly recommend getting a torque wrench… you don’t want to run the risk of stripping a bolt by over tightening it or having one come loose by under tightening it. Go Harbor Freight, they have good affordable torque wrenches.
how the hell do you keep you bike looking so good..?
btw your vids are very helpful..even though I didn’t get a Burgman yet.
hopefully soon.. BRAVO man!
love the flip flops..no green today..HAHA!

go to my burgman center and check the DIY for the brake pad maintenance, it has detailed pictures and instructions. good luck.

Thanks, I have a 400 but this helped me. I don’t have a torque wrench though, does it really matter that much? Can I not just go by feel?
Great job, man! You’re very careful with your B650.
It gets a bath once a week. and some additional TLC once a month / year.
Thanks very much love your vids keep up the good work 🙂
