What was your bike doing that made you think something was wrong? My clutch
cable is going soft, (still engaging fine, just really easy to pull back)
and then it “pumps” itself back to normal tension. No one seems to know
why. It’s almost acting like brakes that need bled, but it’s a dry cable.
Any suggestions?

could have a notched clutch basket, clutch springs could be weak or there
is a some kind of restriction in the clutch cable housing.
