Could you please make a video on how to change the spark plugs on this car?

subrausti says:

Wats that air cabin use for. How often do I change it. N where do I get a new one from?

Thanks for putting this video up! My filter was filthy!

thanks!

having issues with your AC doesn’t have anything to do with the air filter. sounds like your frieon(?) is low. that might need to be recharged. the filter is only there to…filter lol. old cars dont even have cabin air filters, so id just put one in there so youre not breathing in dirt and dust from outside 🙂

apatheticnow says:

While doing some other work on my car I discovered that my cabin air filter is missing! Probably has been for years. Should I check for any damage to other parts of the system as a result of this? I have noticed a decreased blower output and have had issues with the AC holding a charge over the past few months.

SubaruSjors says:

thanks for this demonstration it really helped me.
i just found out that i dint even had an filter.

TurboBam says:

Thanks for this video. About to go do this on my 07 sti.

@thomasfriess

It filters the air that you breathe. Should be changed once a year or if you notice that your AC smells. The first time I changed it, I was ignorant and went to my local dealer who charged me $40 for one but you can find it online for like $7. Home improvement or hardware stores sell the material so you can make your own for a few bucks more. I need to change mine again.

very nice, all one handed lol

justaguy3 says:

if your cabin filter is dirty then your blower motor for your interior vents will have to work harder. more stress on the blower motor can result in reduced performance from your air conditioning, defrost, etc. changing your filter should help improve improve your AC. cabin filters should be replaced every year or so, depending on your driving conditions.

excellent demo

nukem384 says:

not terribly important, but OEM is always nice

scoobysubiedew says:

How important is it to get an Oem filter? there really expensive for the replacement. I’m sure theres a cheaper filter than Oem.

DaWhiteScoob says:

Thanks. Just did this to my 06 WRX, could not believe how dirty mine was.

morlocx says:
