MLS gaskets still blow on later EJ25s. Ours just blew and we kept up on all the maintenance. Thinking they “just don’t have this issue” is just plain wrong.
Learn from my mistakes and never buy an EJ25. Full stop.
Stop holding NON Subaru boxer engine gasket to explain Subaru engines
Air-cooled Volkswagen engines didn't have head gaskets! Kinda weird that some supposed car "expert" didn't know that.
I changed my oil every 3000 miles and my cars go over 250000 miles easy
this dude is still alive??
I’m actually picking up an imprezza hatch 2017. Manual. You can get Manuals way cheaper now a days with automatic ls taking over
Best oil and filter for a Subaru ? Or just stick with OEM oil and filter thanks
The modern Subaru’s are nice, but their Nissan transmissions will put them in bankruptcy.
Scotty please make a video about 2011 optima
composite delamination from repeated different rate expansion and contraction just like ocean gate sub. and these are Japanese engineers!
Where are the clean celicas like that one?
makes sense. they want me to come in every 6 mo. for an oil change.
Thanks for the insight og.
I had the Subaru outback wilderness…battery kept dying, electrical problems with computer, tires kept blowing out, infotainment system failure. Subaru suck. My Kia drives and handles much better than the subaru.
This is not an issue modern day Subarus have.
I'm a wannabe Subaru fan. I've owned three but had one kind of problem or another. My last one was a lifted Impreza hatchback/wagon with a manual. Possibly the best car in the snow that I've owned. But my 04 330xi was so much better in so many ways that it made the Subie feel like tin. I had a friend that was the service tech manager and they were still having head gasket problems back in 2016. I had fewer problems with my early 2000's Beemers. Three Subarus, six Beemers (not counting five Z3's). Or listen to Scotty and drive a Toyota.
This is not specific to boxers. Overheating will kill anything. Keep your antifreze and oil fresh and full at all times. If you cannot keep up with the most simple of maintanance then you shouldn't be driving.
vw's didn't have head gaskets…
It’s funny when people claim they hate Subarus because of the head gaskets when all you need to do is put a multi layer steel one on it and they last forever
One day I will be able to own a subaru legacy not sure what year but as long as its a reliable car and good on gas
