Here we go…let’s peel back the Subaru onion and get this Right cylinder head off the engine.
The goal is to replace all 4 exhaust valves on this cylinder head.
Can it be done with the engine IN THE VEHICLE?
Enjoy!
Ivan

By the way man you make some great videos
I was just curious Because of the old one being E2 and being cracked isn't that the same as the ones you bought
Sorry miss wrote the last Entry it should say how come you didn't use the newer part number
So I'm curious how come you didn't go with the new report number
1> remove Engine. NAH! I thought you would elevate one side for gravity assist. but that would kill your back! so cut out part of the garage floor so the other side is lower instead! lol. crazy how they use so much atv. I cant imagine how nuts you have to pry to crack the pieces apart. I know my crown vic differential cover is insane effort when its atv sealed no gasket. can barely squeeze a wedge in there
Ya know I would just go ahead and replace the whole car while I was in there. Just to be on the safe side XD
I was thinking all was right in the world Ivan is doing a wrenching video, till you said I'm not changing the head bolts. Time to reevaluate Good luck on reassembly.
how much more work to remove engine to make life easier
Ivan, the guy who can't say no. Great blog though, thanks.
Why did Subaru have to build there engines sideways
Epic! I'm glad everything cleared the frame rail. It was a bit of a cliffhanger.
Oh heck no! I remember why I never will buy one of these VW's. "Thank you Subaru" for nothing haha
Hi Ivan. Are my eyes failing me, or did I see the old part number on the label stuck on the bag that had the new valve? 2:07 min mark.
I've been told the plastic sleeve around the cylinders takes up space in the water jacket (less coolant) for quicker warmup time in colder climates.
Can't belive you went for it! Nice work
I'm not going to buy a Subaru.
