Dude take a flathead stick it in between the hole of the rubber hanger and the dowel and spray a little silicone lube in between the metal and rubber. That shit will slide off with your pinky finger. Work smart not hard

Or instead of shaving the diffuser they do have longer hangers so you dont have to cut anything. I didn that on my bugeye. It was rubbing against something by my midpipe
Hey Mike, you should get some extra long exhaust hangers. I think kartboy makes them, that's what I did for my hatch and it worked like a charm no rubbing and it drops the muffler just low enough not crazy low to where it looks dumb
