there’s a lot of re-assembly from case halves, or videos of people removing
the transfer case, but you filled in a lot of gaps.

The only thing I would correct you on is that you keep referring to the
front diff as the “rear.” I know you said you’re a GM guy so I’m just
trying to be helpful. The rear diff is in it’s own separate housing just
like any front engine vehicle with rear wheels driven (awd, 4wd, rwd).
Those units (front and rear diffs) are very similar though, and what you
might not have noticed was that there’s a center diff (viscous coupling/
power coupler) in the transfer case that you took off just before this
video starts that gets the power first and splits/sends it to the front
diff in the main case and the one in the back of the car.
