With the help of these videos I successfully pulled my first engine, a 2.5
boxer and am now overhauling it. Thanks!!

I’m not much into fixing cars but this video is probably one of my favorite
car vids please make more when u can! Great job carey and mike!
Yes. I actually went to school to become an ASE certified mechanic when I
was much younger…
You need to get Mike the bottle of Coke, now.
I don’t work on cars but wow great video.
nice video cant wait to see the rest
it’s so nice to learn new stuff, thanks : )
great video!!!!
Thanks for the update. New videos should be posted early next week.
Great video
I really enjoyed this. Mike is awesome; great video.
85 degrees! Lucky buggers its no even 8 here! 😛 Great video Carey.
There is a cometic head gaskets available, for turbo charged subaru blocks
to put on your non turbocharged blocks, its bulletproof. I spray copper
head gasket sealant on both sides before instal. These gaskets will last
beyond the life of the car. $60 bucks+ a piece
Hi, Carey. Great stuff. Do you personally get a similar kind of buzz with
mechanics compared with computer electronics? There seems to be tinker /
improvement parallels between the two different types of work. Nice to see
another of your interests.
I could not stop watching D: I luv taking things apart and seeing how they
work
Nice impact gun looks like it’s built like a tank
Great video, you and mike make a nice team. This was better than others who
make automotive repair videos with over 100,000 subscribers
Happy Birthday Mike!!!
gr8 new series, looking forward to it. Thanks
Mike thanks against for what u did on this engine for me!
That is cool, computer and car videos what could be better. Great job Carey
and Mike:)
I would buy a subaru just to get Mike to repair it …
mikes the dude!
Is it summer there? Here in the netherlands is it 0C°
You’re going to be able to see how videos get made through this new series
with Mike. First, you’ll see that many sequences are filmed out of order.
For example, this is actually going to be part 2. We haven’t filmed part 1
or 3 o r 4 yet. But I am posting them as they complete post-production, but
when all 4 are done, I will make one video with all four parts put together
in the right order that will show engine removal, head removal, head
replacement and engine installation.
Great Video! Thanks, hope you can do more on subaru Mike is Awesome
Its really a shame auto makers are putting out such junk now days. I was
really close to buying a Forester but after hearing of all these issues,
I’m sticking with my ’90 Jeep and 02 Ford ZX2…those suckers are bullet
proof.
I never thought I would ever want to watch a video like this but I got
hooked! Nice video
See the rest of my engine head gasket ordeal
Yeah, quantity not quality it seems these days
i had a issue similar to this back in 96 with a old ford. turned out the
entire engine was bad. trans was shot. wasn’t worth repair cost so i had no
choice but to junk it,,,
I am mechanically retarded, but I loved this vid!
Hi! I found it quite interesting for person like me i do not own a car
great stuff keep it up. Thanks
Video is extremely good!
If you do the instal in the car, take a socket and breaker/ good ratchet
bar and just whack it a few times, it will come right off, works every time
for this engine.crank pulley bolt
he look like the old bad dude from saw movies 😀
Mike is awesome i want to see him more!
He learned his lesson.
Video looks good
Oddly enough I was watching one of your videos and thinking how awesome it
would be to have content about cars in a similar fashion to your computer
content. Carey you read my mind sometimes and I like it.
Carey, please tell Mike that there is a huge demand for Subaru content.
This series (and hopefully more) will definitely increase your
subscriptions. By far one the best Subaru engine videos I have seen on
youtube. Thank you and Mike as well.
Cool video Mike.
