If it’s overheating when you first start it it could very well be a head gasket or a stuck tstat.

ive heard that it can be bad to have the engine running for long while your doing this because its trying to build up pressure, is this true? ive had an overheating problem the past few weeks so have not been driving it. i checked everything it could be so came to the conclusion that its a clog, so i plan on doing a flush sometime today.
