The only other place to run a tap is the head unit in the dash and then your dealer will say the warranty for that is voided (which is complete BS unless they can prove you caused damage – Look up the Magnuson-Moss Act). I’ll get a better-lit video up to show how I got through the grommet. I’ll need a really bright shop lamp because it’s black-on-black all over the place.
Is there any other place to tap-off the signal for the amp? My dealer told me tapping the wires off the factory amp voids my warranty. Also running the power wire on the passenger side seems difficult because the airbag is blocking access to the grommet near the battery.
