I attached to the top hose too. Is it wrong? Or it doesn't matter?

You installed the T fitting to the incorrect hose. You have to installing it the bottom hose. Putting the T fitting at the top hose creates a positive coolant pressure into the 4th cylinder, making it hotter. This kit does not come with instructions and is a big problem.
I installed it and now my heater doesn’t work for my 2013 WRX
From everything I've ready and seen, I believe you attached the "T" to the wrong hose. The hose the "T" should be on needs to be the return hose to the water pump.
Is it necessary for a stock wrx?

The part where ur screwing the an fitting on that hole underneath where ur screwing wats that whole for because I was going to unscrew but thers a metal pipe going from that hole to the intake manifold like the shape of a c clamp mind u I'm non turbo ej25 06 forester
