In this video I bring you along as I start the process of replacing the customers rotted out engine cradle on their 2014 Subaru Outback with the big 2.5. It’s not a bad job just a little time consuming.
-Enjoy!

27:02 – tip for you, Eric. When in that situation where the stud is spinning and you need to put some tension on the tie rod to get the nut off, use a ball joint press. You'll know what I mean.
Great impersonation of Biden. "Come On Man" You're very multi talented.
Don't ask why this just popped into my head, but I think it could hilarious to see/hear Eric do a video on making a PBJ sandwich. There are other channels with good information but nowhere near the entertainment.
All I can say is anyone in the salt belt needs to make their vacation to California include a ride home in a cheap auction used car. What a bargain compared to going through this crap. 1986 Ford f-350 4×4. Not a speck of rust and all bolts just come out like god intended.
How have you never seen the entire stud spin when I’ve seen it half a dozen times lol
Saying,”come on man” and talking about having a diaper ready I thought maybe you were talking about biden.
I am surprised at how quiet Trinity was. Must be her headphones! She must be 13 yo now?
Eric: I watch you working on this crap & I shake my head. If I were 18 instead of 82, no one could convince me to be a vehicle mechanic. When see the cabs taken off pick up trucks to work on things & I see alternators located so that half the damned car has to come apart to remove the alternator, & new diesel pick ups that have HPCR injection systems, piezo electric injectors, high pressure pumps with insane injection pressures, high pressure regulators SCR, DEF & all the other crap, there isn't enough money in the world wouldn't be enough to get me to work on them. I stick with my 97 Dodge diesel, & my series 2 3.8 litre 2003 Buick. If I was looking for another car, I think it would be a model "A" Ford !
Your videos are great, & your knowledge & integrity are beyond excellent. Thanks for a many year education & entertainment Eric. Cheers! from the wind swept plains of Alberta. Cheers! Brian

Howdy, enjoy your show, as a journeymen mechanic for 37 ish years, i'm seeing all the shit i fk't up on when i was young, with your vids .
6 months on brakes was normal. It Was Those Clips ! the freck'n clips
so anyways still don't know what re means but it's a re vice grips are grip directional, as are channel locks. wrong direction will polish the back side of the teeth,,,,,,,,,
they'll go down hill 0k bla bla bla And Thats ! How The Earth Was Made
thanks for your time
ty, les
what i learned from this video is MRS O has got you spoiled badly tea and cake LOL
Still the best car channel on YouTube even after all these years! Keep it up Eric O!
Eric O, we need more honest mechanics like yourself!
That was Easy.
This guy does not believe in safety glasses lol, best mechanics have one eye
The best mechanic on you tube, period.
I like pointing out the obvious…. that is a lot of rust and your air hose needs replacing soon. That is my PBA from a Yankee that transplanted myself in rust free south lol. Thanks for the entertaining videos. Keep up the excellent work.
How you Northern guys deal with rust is beyond me. A 2014 being rotted out, unreal that thing is practically new.
I like watching these videos so I know which brands to avoid.
I super appreciate what you do, Eric. Stay cheeki breeki, my friend.
2014? Seems like Subaru keeps using poor quality steel.
Whoa, where's the Mathews Solocam hat? Throwing us off with the hat change
