I just paid someone to do this last week on my 2015 forester! 🙁 Great video though!

Hussain Mohd says:

@MrSubaru1387
Thank you for all the videos, I always learn so much from watching.

I have this same exact model forester, and It went through the Engine block failure issues, had the engine replaced alone with the instrument cluster, Key and ECM. now i have this issue with a P2006 & CEL "Intake manifold stuck closed".
I had the manifold removed, cleaned the TGVs, IAC and throttle, and replaced the TGV actuators on both banks… (started the car with actuators exposed and they spin)
but still having a problem with it.
The engine idle RPMS fluctuate and whine and I cannot get the Vehicle to accelerate properly.

my only remaining guess is either the ECM is bad or the entire harness.

any tips would be helpful… thanks.

Fred Harvey says:

Had mine in my 2016 replaced at 59k miles. Those clock springs are trash.

Mike Abbitt says:

Amazing how you can do the job while holding the camera.

Roland Kee says:

The only symptom on my 2013 Crosstrek was a dead horn. Everything else worked.

Kojiwafu says:

Looking a lot for clockspring replacement for my sf5 without luck and the video is mocking me that it is made in the philippines while I myself live in the philippines. irony on this one

Mauro F says:

Magnificent change to the ClockSpring. I was waiting for your video, I only have one question, is it not necessary to disconnect the battery when handling the Aibag?
Good job. Best regards.

MrPoppyDuck says:

Thank you Mr Subaru for another very helpful video! You are making it possible to be less intimidated when working on Subies.

MrPoppyDuck says:

Just before I pull off steering wheels I take a sharpie and draw a line across the shaft onto the wheel. That way I know how to line up the wheel without guessing when I put it back.

MsErica648 says:

Any idea how the ribbon cable got crimped like that?

HayahayTV says:

Can you do a coolant replacement on that model.

Mike says:

First time seeing a steering wheel serviced, very cool. Awesome work on guidance and filming the whole process.
I have used SPD before, they're great. Thank you for the discount code MrSubaru!

Kentucky Ranger says:

I'll bet, the horn was on all the time, that's why they took out the relay, LOL!
