Did you cap off the firewall on the inside of the car or from within the
engine bay?

turbo8118 says:

Goku King Jr. says:

+6788677 horssepower

Antoniocool86 says:

Looks a lot cleaner

IBedtimeCookies says:

hey are you in santa cruz? or like near it?

nismozx6r says:

It doesn’t use the factory fender inlet. Hot air will be able to go in. And
removing the sound tube takes away the sound that you want with a CAI.
PASS. Rather go with a Airaid or other kit.

OB1KXB says:

the directions say to install the bolt near the window washer funnel upside
down. is there any specific reason you chose to put the nut on the bottom?

MrRaiderboi03 says:

What happened to your 2011 STi you had?

DoctaMarcos says:

I wanted those floor mats 🙁 “This item is not available for this vehicle
or is currently under development. To request that we consider the
manufacture of this application, please complete our Product Request Form:”

samech7 says:

Before and after dyno numbers would have been interesting. I doubt any
measurable gains, but I am glad you like the sound and look.

Michael Fox says:

Are you OnbooSTIhooning?

Ganesa Ponraja says:

lol. I just installed this intake tonight and I’m getting the same issue
you had, to be expected I suppose. It’ll improve over time 😀

Wes H says:

oh btw any issues so far? i hear some intakes causes the car to bog down or
idle rough hope this wont be an issue with this intake

SKFlo says:

lol I just got my intake in today and I have the Gcoupe v6 ! 😛

DoctaMarcos says:

For the intake generator pipe is it bad to take out? Or is it completely
opitional? and after installing the intake system are you forced to take it
out?

NekroDart says:

he is haha he sold his STi for the BRZ.

Ge0vone says:

If the brz had the fr-s gauge cluster, I’d be at the dealership right now.
That and Toyota badges

VodkaSour says:

ya wernt watching close enough clearly that tab is trash now because a nut
goes in its place (shakes head)

kwproductions says:

I heard certain Injen Air Intakes can be illegal for California emission
laws, do you know if this one meets the laws?

Charlie Willkom says:

No tune required?? Great vid!

Ron Burgundy says:

Wow..l installed today and my car does not like this intake. I have to
floor it getting on the freeway. It’s slowly getting better but I’m taking
it to work tomorrow and if it doesn’t get any better then I’m going back to
stock. If anyone is thinking about getting this intake make sure you do
your research first. The car seems to be losing a lot of power.

harrisezzat says:

@2:08 … *struggles* …*smash*….

Ganesa Ponraja says:

The ECU has to get used to the different readings on the MAF sensor and
adjust fuel injection timing accordingly. Installing this intake will cause
proportionately more air to enter the combustion chamber, so it’ll be a
little confused at first and you’d need to drive it round a while before it
adjusts to full benefit. That or just get a Stage 2 ECU reflash and stop
whining 😛

yobobjm says:

I too am in the same boat as you, but we wont be carbed for 5 years, so I
bought a full on hks race intake and then I probably will stick the stock
one on whenever I need a smog check. In reality, I don’t know if an intake
will void warranty as it really doesn’t do a whole lot for emissions.

Maad Dan says:

Can I please have the intake sound generator that you took off the car? I
want to put one on my car.

Ron Burgundy says:

It does and I’m guessing it did for you? My issues were pretty much gone
days later… This thing is deafening around 6k rpm!

kwproductions says:

yeah but i just wanted to make sure lol just in case, i’d rather get it
legal just so there’s no hassle 🙂 but switching to the stock intake
shouldnt be hard, intakes too easy lol

doubletapproductions says:

Can you here the engine just as well or even better removing that tube
going into the passenger side?

Michael Fox says:

Nvm, you are :). Great work as always buddy!

BRZ-Club.com says:

Not that I know of. Thanks!

BRZ-Club.com says:

I don’t think there is an intake system for the BRZ and FR-S that is CARB
legal.

STI BRZ says:

I know its your car, but when you sold your STI for a BRZ I was like wtf?
But i know get it. Still love the Brz and the Sti both great cars!

kyle gossage says:

did you feel a difference in performance when you added this cai system? im
thinking about this exact intake but im not sure if this is the most i can
get for my money….your thoughts would be appreciated!!!

OB1KXB says:

repeat after me: Injen engine engine Injen Injen Injen engine engine Injen
engine

tommyboy92 says:
