Tim Eltschlager says:

Worked on my 2014 Crosstrek. I hope it does not come back on in a few days
as stated by a post below.

Badenhawk says:

Sweet! Worked in my 05 outback on both driver and passenger. I’ll post
again if there is a reset time or something. But so far so good.

Eric Mendoza says:

is there any way of doing this on an 05 wrx? it didnt work for me

jagrami says:

This worked on my 2014 Crosstrek!

Mike Krause says:

I hope this works in my 2014 impreza. It’s not required In NH to wear a
seat belt so the chime pisses me off.

Scott Bean says:

Just tried it on my 2014 Forester. Works great!!!

Simon-Marc Charron says:

The airbags are still activated?

NYYANKEE77 says:

A friend of mine did this on his 2014 Crosstek XV. After letting the car
sit for 3 days, the chime came back. On his 2007 Forrester it worked fine.
Has anyone found this problem on 2014 models?
Calling Subaru is no good. They are VERY upset that people know of this
work around.

Camron Ragland says:

can it work on the same on the passenger side?

skee33z says:

Couldn’t get it working on my AUS my13. Tried twice… Will try again
though.

gbpkrs12 says:

BTW: Skier’s in bubble wrap next? Didn’t Sonny Bono hit a tree and die?

DIYallday says:

Yes, when I had my passenger seat unplugged and removed out of the car it
would not beep

beastsumo says:

works thanks man. hated that noise.

DIYallday says:

I just dont like to hear it period. I never forget to wear my seatbelt
because I feel weird if I dont wear it.

OleGUNich says:

How do you turn off the door beeper, when the door is opened and ignition
is on it annoying.

oats382 says:

Worked on my 2009 Forrester.. The issue is not that I don’t use a seatbelt,
but I have to reverse down a long driveway and undo the seatbelt making it
easier to look backwards.. thanks for this.

dkphantomdk says:

unless its a diffrent warning in your cars.. – my Subaru Impreza 1.5R 2007
does only warn me when I drive off and pass 20km/h.. so I can actually
drive around with no seat belt and no warning if I NEVER drive faster than
20km pr hour

VPERFECTO1953 says:

Thank you for your video! Very helpful on my WRX.

Michal Wojtal says:

Im gonna try this, the passager seat is always annoying me cuz im mostly
put stuff there and it just fucking beeps

a3ng25 says:

this works on a 2013 wrx, US model, from the on position (some have said
they had to turn the engine on before clicking 20 times for it to work, on
older MY)

DIYallday says:

It is the same. It only starts beeping if you go over 5 MPH which I think
is 20 KPH.

DIYallday says:

You must have done something wrong. It works.

rey4u2nv says:

i think that this is good to take that warning off when you drive with
aftermarket seatbelts on the track and also for when you carry stuff on
your passenger seat i.e. a case of beer… thanks for the info. i like the
beeping because its my nice way to tell my passengers “put your damn
seatbelt on! i dont wanna ticket for your fault!!!” lol

Jonathan Quintero says:

nice find

13Dilligaf13 says:

Awesome, worked on my 2008 Subaru Outback Sport first try.

Jordan Croft says:

so awesome!worked on my 2013 wrx first time

dkphantomdk says:

Seems like a strange thing to do !! – isnt it illegal til drive without
seatbelts in your part of the world? then again, it wont warn you if you
forget your seatbelt, and, it you should crash ? soo the annoyance of the
warning sound and light is a HUGE reminder that you should wear it for your
safety.. seems like those people who remove it, dont drive with seatbelts
??

ardenzinho1 says:

thanks man Worked on my MY13 (AUS Spec)

TheHighroller88 . says:

worked on my 07 impreza !!! a subaru tech tould me this trick !!!

Dreamtheater1928prog says:

What head unit have you got man?

onewheelup says:

LMAO thats awesome man,i am going to do that first thing in the morning, how
in the heck did you figure that out, damn thats cool. i have a 2013 WRX
hatchback blue pearl theirs a video on here showing how to make your day
lights stay off too.

aznsk8ter1845 says:

does this turn off the passenger chime too?

Conflikt420 says:

I lived through a time where there wasn’t a seatbelt reminder beep. I stll
wore my seatbelt. Now, this may blow your mind completely, but believe it
or not, a very select few of us ARE capable of putting our seatbelts
on…now get this….without having heard a chime! =-O I kid you not my
friend! Now I’m not sure if we are superhumans or what, perhaps having been
seeded here by extra-terrestials, but we like to be able to sit in the car
IN PARK sometimes while unbuckled. Phone call, eating, etc.

gbpkrs12 says:

I’m sorry, but gov’t annoyances to force you to do something? Electric
shocks next? Some of you people are OK with that? Un-freakin-believable. My
passenger has a skin condition that makes wearing the seatbelt unbearably
painful. The chime is like a finger tapping into your breastbone 1000X or
50,000X on a long trip! Distracting enough to make you CRASH. Over 100
years of cars and we didn’t need this crap until Obama. Thanks gov’t. Won’t
save one life IMHO. DLR refuses to make it stop!

kristen herrera says:

Thank you sir. Why does the manual not have instructions on how to turn it
off anymore?!?

Gary M says:

Thanks for posting this up.

Nancy Whitney says:

Worked for me the first time. THANKS!!!! That thing was so annoying. Next I
want to get rid of that annoying “Agree” on the navigation system.

DIYallday says:

eclipse avn726e

nairbfry says:

Thank you for the clear and concise instructions! It worked for me on my
2008 Subaru Outback!

David B says:

i only want this because it beeps when im in a car park with no belt on

Michael Fox says:

worked on my 06!

Dave Rowson says:

If you have a cell phone plugged in and charging as well as an iPod plugged
into the USB port in the armrest and both of those are sitting on the
passenger seat, then the car will chime like there is someone in the
passenger seat.. (2012 impreza- just the normal one)

peekeesh says:

perfect! thanks for sharing.

Chris Marx says:

Or it’s for those who want to move around their property without the
annoying ding sound.

Backyard Racing | MX Shop says:

unfortunately not working on my WRX STi Sedan MY11 (EU Spec) =(

Rob Torres says:

Worked just fine on my 2013 STi
