I wish that you'd have said more about the "On Road Automatic Adjustment" after calibration in the shop. I had the windshield of my 2018 Outback Limited replaced with OEM Glass by a Subaru Dealer, who sublet the actual glass replacement labor, then proceeded to do the re-calibration of the Eye-Sight System. When I came to pick up the car I asked whether it had been trained on the road after the work in the shop. My service advisor and the one next to him were insistent that the work is done and the system is fully functional when the car leaves the calibration bay. I note that the dealer put 0.5 miles onto the trip odometer the day that it had the car. // When I drove away the car could not identify any lane markings. I drove it about 5 miles on a new very nicely marked Interstate type road on the way home and it recognized no lane markings on the trip. (The Lane Keeping Assist was turned On.) // I contacted the Subaru of America Customer Advocacy or Assistance Phone Support. The representative with whom I spoke checked all available resources and found that SOA had NO information about re-calibration and retraining of the Eyesight System. It recommended that I take the car back to the dealer to have it checked. I'd already done that 8 days after the initial work. During the time between the first and second days at the dealer I put 106 miles onto the odometer. The car was recognizing nice bold lane markings by then, but it would not recognize Yellow Markings, and it did very poorly on narrow lanes. On Interstate type roads it would recognize lane markings during straight stretches, but stop recognizing them on small radius curves. A manager took the car out for 11 miles, about 7 or 8 on the Interstate quality roads, and determined that the Eyesight was working fine. // I need to know more about the "On Road Automatic Adjustment." Can it eventually correct for very poor re-calibration in the shop?

what a nightmare to eventually get to a cam replacement. those buru eyesights are such a pain to shoot even to just to get to the 90% or more accuracy requirement.

Berserker USMC says:

I have to say that eyesight is absolutely horrible. My 2015 Forester has issues with night driving. When there's a bright street light or oncoming traffic it shuts off…warning buzzers etc.

I've driven other cars with adaptive cruise control that have 200K on the odometer and they've always worked flawlessly.

Eyesight… Horrible idea and execution. I'm also waiting for my CVT to die…

Great video! Do you think a used camera system could be used or are they VIN locked/specific?
