2010 Subaru WRX Car Radio Wiring Instructions
Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Blue/Red
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow/Red
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black/Blue
Car Radio Illumination Wire (+): Violet (Wire shows +12 volts on an Automotive Circuit Tester when you use the headlights switch to turn on the parking lights or headlights. This pin is open-circuit when the lights are off.)
Do you know what colour wire for the illumination?
alpine and pioneer radios are great! a huge improvement from the stock radio. its just the way electronics looks now a days.
Does anyone know of a radio with USB/AUX that uses high quality materials? I went to the store today because my 02 wrx radio broke and every one of those units feel like tonka toys. Even the $800 units. 😐
Thank you. Very helpful.
go to metraonline/com and pull up the pdf manual for the dash kit. it will walk you through the removal.
We need to pull the stereo out of my 2010 Outback – is it done the same way?
HI KABIR. send us an email. ill send u some printed instructions. jshemula@al-eds.com

Thanks so much , that gives me more wide ideas how to do it … thanks !
yes of course u can add amps to a stock stereo. you will need some high to low adapters. or a good oem integration processor. oem radios do not have rca ouputs.
Hello ! nice and very helpful video. I have a question about my sub and amp installations for my 2009 Subaru WRX AWD T, will i be able to hook it up on my stock stereo (same on the video u made) will the wirings and stuff are just same as like an aftermarket stereo indash? Thanks!
sand or file them down to get thinner. u can also use a plastic spreader or spatula.
Thanks for the vid, I have some pannel removal tools but they are too thick to slide into that location
do u have amplifiers? were the speakers damaged? check all connections, make sure the amp is on. confirm no speakers are damaged or blown. that will cause the sound to cut out.
i just installed a stereo on my 1998 impreza sfi 2.2. the stereo light up and plays cds but i get no sound? do you have any idea how i could fix this.
of course. anytime. if you need help with parts let us know.
awesome! ya that car is really easy as long as you know what to do.

We have a wrap material that is carbon fiber were we can wrap anything. Or we can send parts out to liquid transformation. And have them dipped. I don’t know if the Ontario Mills location offered the same thing. Call Dave and ask him he is the owner there and a great guy! We are all independent franchises and out services vary from location to location. -Saturn
