jason carranza says:

would it be to hot to put some computer fans on it?

Dayton Diederich says:

those oil lines look pretty exposed and open to damage from road debe and
such. I’d differently want to make some sort of metal shield for them

matthewruss says:

one thing I find bit misleading about the video in my view is the fact you
put the old flter back on, id always use a new filter, but great video
though extremely clear ;)

jason carranza says:

that shop floor is nasty

Mishimoto.com says:

Thank you! Since we do not have a direct fit oil cooler kit for the 2010
Forester XT, we do not have a video for it either. I will let the R&D team
know about your suggestion though. Thanks! 🙂

Mishimoto.com says:

Hi Phil, The oil lines included in this kit are 3 ft. and 4 ft. 4 in. long.
Hopefully this helps! 🙂

German Vacani says:

Amazing video guys! Im searching a how to and/or product for our 2010 XT
Forester, AT oil cooler!, Mishimoto doesnt have one, dont you guys?

xSLWRTHNUx says:

Are there specific torque specs we have to follow?

89foxbodysam says:

thanks alot boss, im going to need one once i start racing my car.

Mishimoto.com says:

Hi – Unfortuantely, we don’t have exact torque specs for any of these kits
so you’ll have to use your best judgement. The sandwich plate adapter
should be tightened to around 20 ft lbs. Hope this helps. Thanks -Brian

bettner12 says:

PSA: do not use teflon tape on oil fittings, even the set screws used as
plugs, you’re just asking for a piece to break free and clog up an oil
galley somewhere in your block or turbo feed. Use a teflon based sealing
compound ( paste) or a thread locking sealant (I would use red )

Mishimoto.com says:

Hi there, Please note that this kit will only fit the 2001-2005 WRX and STi
models, it will not bolt right up to an 07. If tapping the oil pan for a
feed to the turbo is your concern, you can check out our sandwich plate
adapter, part # MMOP-TPS, which includes three 1/8” NPT ports that you can
use at your discretion. Hope this helps! -Brian

Mishimoto.com says:

We have not yet test fitted this product on a Legacy so we cannot confirm
or deny fitment until this is done. Thanks! -Brian

Carlos Vilela says:

subscribed for hopefully future 06-07 direct fit kits.

freshfive111 says:

anyone else think it would have been a good idea to just change the oil
filter?

phucklogins says:

I’d imagine yes, they have thermostat connector plates.

Mishimoto.com says:

If you haven’t seen, our 06-07 kit was released the other week! 🙂

Darryl Mair says:

Hey. Do you have one of these for a 2000 GC8 WRX that would fit with a FMIC?

pirovalcon says:

would it work on a subaru svx

Mishimoto.com says:

Bleeding the oil system is not required when installing this. Just be sure
to add oil to compensate for the coolers extra capacity. Check for leaks
after starting the car and check the oil level. Let me know if you have any
questions. -Brian

Mishimoto.com says:

As long as you let the car warm up to proper operating temperature, you do
not need to worry about the oil cooling down too much. These cars typically
run hot and this oil cooler helps protect your engine from over heating.
Check out the engineering report on our website for more info.

Michael mion says:

Hey brain how much do you bench your arms are pretty big.

Bruno S says:

Im sure this will fit on a 05 Legacy GT

samsonsamsonsamson hin says:

I installed the kit probably, but the oil is no going through, and my oil
light on the dashboard is on. HELP!!!

theacropilot says:

do you have to bleed the oil system?

Mishimoto.com says:

Yes, this kit is suitable for winter driving. I would advise allowing an
extra 5 minutes or so of warmup time before driving the car hard. -Brian

philturbo1able says:

Hi guys I have purchased one of your oil coolers. How long are the oil
cooler lines from cooler to sandwich plate so I can have some made. Really
hope you can help me out. Thanks phil

wrxpower123 says:

how did u get the headlights off so quick, they would be a pain for me
cause the metal tabs in the fender

etrackstar says:

Just Bought This, the X-Line Radiator, and the Intercooler Hoses cant wait
to install. I only wish you had the option for custom color for your hoses,
any chances of that happening?????? Also any plans for upgraded Intercooler
for WRX? no front mount.

Mishimoto.com says:

Hey there, unfortunately this kit will not work for the SVX. -Brian

Mishimoto.com says:

You are correct on the operation of the oil cooler. Unfortunately we do not
offer a thermostatic sandwich plate for this kit.
