Great video. I still cannot find the button in my 2000 Subaru Impreza.

Tchel Lorai says:

(Subaru forester 99 here) I have a problem with my lights flashing after
I’ve changed the battery. I took out and put back in the fuse and done the
button trick like shown in this video. No luck though. Keeps flashing. I
don’t have keyless entry. It does stop when I remove fuse 3 though, so I’ve
taken it out for now so it won’t drain the battery. Any helpful
suggestions? 🙂

briansmobile1 says:

It could be a door jam switch on any of the five doors. Unfortunately it’s
not a quick easy one. You often have to unplug a switch at time till you
find which one it is. Start with the drivers door as it’s the one with the
most cycles.

briansmobile1 says:

Could be an ignition switch too- like when the circuit is such that it
seems the car is off, but the key is left in it.

briansmobile1 says:

@CURBECK Thanks. The owner was not amused when I told him what I did, but
liked it and kept it that way after seeing it. I did it for fun and for
free so what could you complain right?

spelunkerd says:

@Flaheat Although I’ve never done this, there is a video by 1AAuto
describing how to replace the gas tank filler neck on a Ford. Of course
Subaru may be very different….

briansmobile1 says:

@thepalindromes77 You’re most welcome! I love hearing that my videos helped
someone out! = )

bhstone1 says:

I know it’s not the driver’s door as when it beeps I’ve tried to open and
close it but the sound keeps sounding. It’s hard to force the beeping.
Perhaps I’ll swap the switches to the driver’s door one at a time and keep
trying to open and close the driver’s door while the beeping sounds. If
it’s not any of the door jam switches do you have any other ideas? I think
that when I jiggle the key cylinder it might sometimes cause the sound to
turn off.

briansmobile1 says:

@prodriver1 Kinda thought you would be ; )

Kat Tibbitts says:

Awesome! No other website, forum, manual, instructions from ikeyless is as
helpful as your video! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

briansmobile1 says:

@Flaheat I haven’t. The roads are salted here and there are more Subaru’s
per ca-pita here than anywhere except possibly Jackson Hole Wyoming.- none
yet.

briansmobile1 says:

@dontporget I’m not sure. On most the ebay listings I’ve checked out it
says what years are compatible.

KratostheDogtheMan says:

hell. This thin went of out of no wheres.

Curt Simshauser says:

Ryan Heard says:

that little button but now i know what it looks like :).

bhstone1 says:

Brian, I’m your #1 fan and always wear the t-shirts you sent me. I also
have a problem with my 97 Subaru Outback Wagon. Sometimes when I am driving
I hear the loud pitch beep that sounds when you have the keys in the
ignition but the door open. It happens randomly and is very annoying as it
sometimes won’t stop beeping for a full minute or two. Any ideas on what to
do or how to fix?

jablooglius says:

Dude, the dodger-aru, sounds funny but… pretty redneckish sir.

briansmobile1 says:

It’s dependent on the module your car has to the left of the pedals. The
2004 and newer ones all have that or at least most of them. Older ones it’s
hit and miss.

briansmobile1 says:

You’re welcome!

gaberhunter says:

Do you know if the parking lights are supposed to flash on a 2001 Forester
when you lock it or unlock it? Is it possible to set them to do that? I
can’t seem to find the answer anywhere.

Leonardo Kogan says:

Thanks, it really helpme to find the damm button!

briansmobile1 says:

You’re welcome!

briansmobile1 says:

@Flaheat Lol

briansmobile1 says:

thrawn_84109 says:

Very helpful video. Thanks for making it.

briansmobile1 says:

@nardoyxz Ha ha! I know what you mean.

briansmobile1 says:

Yes. Yes it is. That’s the beauty of it.

briansmobile1 says:

@prodriver1 Got Emblems?

Susan Feehan says:

Me so happy too! Thanks so much, all the “written” descriptions of the
reset button did not help me at all, so your video was the MOST helpful,
and you are charming!

dontporget says:

Me’s so happy, but can i program an 08 remote to a 99 2.5rs?

Flaheat says:

Should have spray painted that grill gold first. 🙂

Flaheat says:

@spelunkerd I dug around to see why it was leaking and found that the
little plastic guard over the filler neck traps moisture and road grime,
which caused it to rot out. I cleaned it out and wrapped the filler neck
with a bike inner tube and clamped it back together as a temporary patch
and it worked! I got the new filler neck on order. It’s a pretty stupid
design on behalf of Subaru, the neck wasn’t painted or anything. I’m going
to paint mine and clean out the guard once a year or so.

Flaheat says:

Hey, I have a Subaru related question. The filler neck on the gas tank on
my ’96 Legacy with the 2.5 liter engine is leaking. Apparently this is a
pretty common issue if you live in the rust belt. Have you ever replaced
one of these before?

hazawaara says:

I have a problem with finding the kill switch for my subaru legacy my alarm
goes hard and kant start car
