Excellent video! This helped out a ton when doing the bearings on my wifes
1999 Impreza Outback Sport. I found that you can use two M8X1.25 bolts to
help get the brake drum off. Also, I was able to use a 3 jaw puller to get
the inner race off of the hub, worked well. Thanks again!!!
tks. Good help. Just done this on my forester. A tip will be to not try to
unmount the abs sensor. Just unplug it under the back seat and unmount the
cable instead. Then you dont risk damaging it when removing. Did not hear
the torque in the movie.. Anyone know?
Do you have the part numbers for the front and rear wheel bearings for this
vehicle? Or a website where I may purchase these from? I have a 98 Impreza
sedan with the exact brakes set up. Planning to do this type of repair
soon. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Great clip, btw i twisted a Sidecrome adapter 1/2 to 3/8 in the proccess of
undoing the strut bolts..
Gotta have my rear wheel bearings fixed on my 99 Forester so i thought id
have a look n see how its done. Thanks for uploading the vid dude!
Thanks very much for posting this. Well done mate.
Make sure that there is no movement / slippage of axle when final torque is
applied and don’t forget to dimple the axle nut after final torque.

You sure don’t sound like you are wearing a face-mask. Are you POSITIVE the
shoes you have in their now have no asbestos in them?
All Subaru suffer from low quality bearings. Here I am, 60000 miles and
already changing the rear wheel bearings.
Nice video, I’m working on the same thing with my forester. I appreciate
the time you put in to make the video.
