thanks for the vid big help.

Mr2pint says:

These filters are a breeze to replace unlike many other cars; Gen 4 toyota Camry for one had a horrible system – never had screamed so much profanity doing ‘supposedly’ a simple job. Another nice vid!

llazyiest says:

Thanks for the video. I just changed my fuel filter 🙂 .

llazyiest says:

One a 99 subaru legacy outback.. the egr valve has a little hose like those on the fuel filter. I can get off the one end but can’t really see where the other end is. Does the end I can’t see need to be worked off like the ones in your video? I cleaned out my egr valve but figure that hose could use replacing (or cleaning) too since the check engine light comes back on in short order.

Crystal Wells says:

Thank you so much! I got it done!

Tucker Macomber says:

Thank you!!! I am a new Subaru owner that is now going thru my 95 Legacy Outback Wagon and doing the maintenance required of a 175K mile car. Thanks for helping me with the stuff that I can accomplish myself!! We don’t have a mechanic in town!

The 2006 wrx is not in the same place. I just looked. The oil change place said they wouldn’t do it and they didn’t know where it was either. I normally do my own service but I decided to take it in cuz I was feeling lazy. Anyone know where the fuel filter is on an 06 wrx? Any help would be nice, Thanks.

NePdXploit says:

Oh, I guess it would help if i told you what i drive..haha
I have a JDM 1999 STi. So I think they’re the same size as the USDM WRX STi.

NePdXploit says:

Im replacing all of my fuel lines, and I’m probably going to use the Russell Aluminum fuel lines from the pump to the firewall, and then the Russell Blue Twist Lok Hose to the IN and Out. Do you know what size of hard line I will need, as well as the hose that goes to the filter? I’m Guessing the hose to the filter is 3/8 ID? And the Hard line is measured by OD so the smallest they have is 3/8 OD. Does that work?
Thank you for your help, and the video’s!

fidellovesubaru says:

briansmobile1 says:

You can get to the pump under the back seat and unplug it really easy. That’s as good. The relay is just in the relay box under the hood. Check your manual for which one to pull.

dunngarr7 says:

I was wondering about this too. I’m having trouble finding the fuel pump relay to disconnect it. Anyone know where it’s at? Thanks

briansmobile1 says:

Check that your lines didn’t get switched. If you have them backwards fuel will not flow.

andrew koslecki says:

changed my filter now the car wont idle any suggestions

yazmo109 says:

Dont you have to unplug the gas pump and open the fuel cap like mention in hayne manuel

briansmobile1 says:

The sleeve is to prevent chafing and abrasion. (fuel leaks are bad for your health) You can substitute that sleeve/armor with most anything. The hose clamp is what keeps the fuel hose tight.

Mary Davis says:

Okay Brian, I went out to my 95 legacy and got the old filter and hose off finally but I noticed that there was no rubber sleeve to keep the new one tight. Got any suggestions?

briansmobile1 says:

You’re welcome Moaski!
