StraightFatee says:

Lol at whoever is playing call of duty

Brandon S says:

When are u going to bake it because it says bake in the title

Matthew Troise says:

Still don’t know why they didn’t do this straight from the factory? It
looks so good, older model mustangs had smoked out lights like 01-04

Badzboyz89 says:

any condensation problems after resealing the lights?

jackedfu says:

I’m assuming this voids factory warranty??

SantoDD5 says:

Who’s playing call of duty in the background lol.

Oscar Gonzalez says:

Thanks ima do that its more safe than paint, thanks for the vid helped a lot

camrsaro says:

I’m actually doing this right now it’s not as hard but I’m on my fourth
cycle in the oven the glue is super strong on mine but I think after this
one the lens will come off its already really loose I’m just making sure I
don’t break anything

dsmpat1995 says:

One even coat of plasti-dip. We let it dry for about a hour.

dsmpat1995 says:

The screwdriver that I used flexed a little, so I really didn’t worry about
it cracking the lens. A wider screwdriver may still work just as good.

dsmpat1995 says:

Thanks. Hopefully I will have some more subie how to, when I get back to
the States.

dsmpat1995 says:

Only if I could remember.

Ryan Ventura says:

I wanna do this to my car as well but I want to put angel eyes on as well.
Do you have any advice for this or know anything bout that. Do you know if
the led angel eye lights will be ok after I bake the housing to reseal it.

eviljids says:

I’m kinda nervous to try this. How many coats of plasti dip did you use and
how long did you let it dry before you sealed the headlight back up? Thanks
for the tutorial. 🙂

dsmpat1995 says:

The plastidip is holding up great. If you want you can spray it with
anything, but plastidip can be removed later.

Andrew Lin says:

did you ever worry about the screwdriver cracking the front lens when you
were using the twisting motion to break the glue? think a wider screwdriver
would be safer?

Jhemel Mesiona says:

Oh cool! Yeah I’ve experimented with Plastidip a lot on my wrx lol. I just
wanted to know how the plastidip holds up against the temperature. I love
plastidip! I dipped my front vents, emblems, and side emblem. And thanks
for responding!

Michael König says:

Do you know if this method applies to 2012 2.0i?

dsmpat1995 says:

You may get Grey RTV from any autoparts store, its not nessary. Your
condensation maybe caused from a missing component or a crack in the
housing. Just take your time.

corey whittemore says:

Looks awesome nice job thanks for taking it step by step

dsmpat1995 says:

It takes a little force to split, sorry for the late reply, I’m deployed
right now.

Vinnie Narace says:

That looks sick…

Jhemel Mesiona says:

How has the plastidip been holding up on the lights? Did it melt or
anything?

dsmpat1995 says:

Well if the Angle eyes should be fine when you heat it back up. I wouldn’t
glue the angle eye in place.

Carl Sidwell says:

Very nice job btw

Antoniocool86 says:

A lot of work but it looks great. Any problems with water leaking inside?

Oscar Gonzalez says:

Plasti dip? Did it stay in place?

str8cypherm80 says:

is the a chance that water from rain or a car wash could get inside and
condensate the lens after baking/opening? did you use a sealant of any
kind? really want to do this but i had my 08 impreza condensate inside the
lens from factory i really dont wanna ruin my 12′ wrx lens. any tips?
thanks! awesome write up btw.

camrsaro says:

Really me too. Lol I painted my head lights before I split.

slowmoSTI says:

This is the manliest baking show I’ve ever seen!

Carl Sidwell says:

The roommate is playing call of duty in the background….lol

dsmpat1995 says:

It has stayed in place.

dsmpat1995 says:

It should be almost the same process.
