Write To Repair is morally justified. The big companies wants besiege the small guy and take over his livelihood.
No right to repair = money and control. As we move closer to electric cars, government's don't want them hacking. GPS and electric means the car will only drive at the speed or location government allow.

Regarding the gasoline: remember that most places sell gas at whatever price they think they can get away with. The places that are closer to the freeway or close to a car rental company are going to charge more because people like to pull off the freeway, get gas, and get back on. And people have to return rental cars with full tanks so they fill up close to the rental place, and gas stations know that they can get away with charging more. As for the gas itself, remember that all gas is formulated according to a recipe handed down by the government. After that it's all different additives: Techron, V-Power, etc. If you want decent gas with a decent additive at a good price use Costco gas. They use an additive called Lubrizol and it seems just fine.
