On the EJ25 with the PCV easily accessible from the top of the intake manifold- after cleaning it works using the blow test. However the spring is allowing it to slightly hang open due to the upward mounted angle. Is this normal? Weak spring?
Hey mrsubaru, would a faulty pcv valve cause my 08 outback to make a short "shpshhht" sound under heavy acceleration? It usually seems to correspond to a gear shift also. Thanks in advance if you have a chance to respond
Hey MrSubaru, my 2017 WRX has been having issues with the engine stuttering and sometimes stalling when the clutch is pushed in and coming to a stop, along with a rough idle, I cleaned the MAF and MAP sensors along with replacing the air filter. Would the PCV valve be a culprit for these issues or should I look more along the lines of a dirty throttle body or fuel filter?
There is a rubber cover directly behind the pcv valve on my 2016 2.5 outback that is dry rotted on my car. Does anyone know what it is called so I can replace it?
