I asked the dealership today to remove this fuse and they would not do it. Admission to a DCM issue?

Problem with just unplugging the fuse is now you have disabled your Starlink. If you're a subscriber then it's useless. Subaru has issued not a recall but a notice for these parasitic draws on the battery. If you're under warranty then take it in like I did my 2019 Outback (under extended warranty) and they replaced the DCM and battery at no charge.
When I pulled the fuse it stopped the drain but now I have no microphone and can’t use hands free phone
Subaru tech 48 years. If you pull that fuse you will lose Bluetooth and radio amp. This DCM thing depends on the year. Some years you can bring to the dealer and get a bypass box installed at no charge. Some years have DCM extended warranties Some years a dealer can go in and put the DCM to sleep with a scan tool from Subaru. Also other things can keep the system awake. Have it checked by someone who really knows
We bought a 22 Legacy and had this problem continuously. The dealer denied any issues with this year's model. After 1 year we said we didn't want the car and they refunded most of the money. Wife didn't want an unreliable car and only drives a couple hundred miles a year. They also suggested that we're keeping the key fob too close to the car. All together we are totally soured on Subarus and probably will never buy one in the future.
Useless unless you actually show how to setup to measure the battery draw.
It's called a DCM. I rewire Fuse source to the DCM using a Fuse tap to not have power when Key Off. That way when Key On, everything works. BT, Center Speaker, etc. If you are in the Portland Oregon area, I can make you a Fuse tap.

In Canada my 2025 CTW has the Starlink which I got free for 3 years when I bought it. I never use it. So I'm going to pull that 7.5 Amp fuse powering the Data Communication Module(DCM).
If you yank the DCM fuse, you'll likely lose your front speakers and the overhead microphone (like I did). Get the dealership to replace the DCM unit (and your battery) or install the DCM bypass box.
Sure unplug the fuse and no front speakers. Genius! ****EDIT**** This proved to be false for me, while some owners reported this, I found out that in my 2019 outback, the front speakers weren't affected at all…

Pulled DCM fuse on 2023 and Bluetooth still works. Hopefully tomorrow morning the car starts.
You can jumper fuse position 9 with a switched circuit. Ive heard some people using position 15, but I used 45, which is switched and unused. Amazon has an add a fuse tap. Hook two of them together and humper the hot side of 45 to the device side of 9. Install a 7.5 amp fuse in the top fuse slots of the jumpers. NO FUSE in the lower slots. $15 fix.
I have a Forester 2011 and losing power during winter , sometimes the symptoms includes lights wont turn on or no signals and the transmission lever wont move. Do you think it's the DCM too?
I think there is a TSB that tells the dealerships to put the DCM in factory mode and unplug the SOS button to temp fix till part comes in.
2018. Crosstrek Subaru. My battery was always dead. They replaced the DCM module fuse box. Wirh a new one. With part n labor…over $1000. I called Subaru of America and told them thus was not an issue I caused. I found it was my Starlink..which I never used or subscribed. And that after the car was off… it was drawing power from the master driver's side window power. Subaru of America paid it…$1,500. Why didn't they just unplug the fuse? And not cause me anxiety.
