I saw those ball joints on RockAuto… How did it end up.. I'm noticing it's been 5 years… Any idea how long the ball joint lasted? Would you say it is better than the OEM balljoint? And i'm super excited about the tool that you have there.. Hope I can get one too!
will this work on not subaru ball joints?
I would like to see you do an Audi or VW upper control arm pinch bolt.
Just bought one. For when the time comes. Thanks Eric Obrohta from 4
years ago.
Is that a new TTX control arm?
This vid made me order that tool for an upcoming ball joint job on the missus outback. Worked out to $55 shipped to Sweden, should be well worth it in reduction of cussing and flying tools during the job!
That Astro Ball Joint puller saved me from beating my brains out pulling out the old ball joint. I am happy I watched this video. Many thanks for turning me on to that tool.
Do you replace ball joints in pairs?
"HA! My dad used to say, "Good enough for the girls I go with." That is totally not why I came to this video; I was checking out the Soobby Ball Joint Puller. Stay safe!
that plastic jug hanging in the background looks like the statue heads on Easter Island
Where did you buy your tools?
Subaru, they've always got to be different.
Just ordered thank you!!
Excellent demo, Eric. Trying to think of a way to make this tool is cool, but the price of steel around here is so high I can't make one of these for much less. I've seen guys use threaded rod, a short segment of pipe, and a small weld. Even that way, when you look at the hardware bill it is almost the same. I hate single application tools.
Subaru seems to go out of the way to make their stuff a pain in the ass to work on
