Connect the + meter lead to the + battery post. Probe the fuse(s) with the negative lead. Less fidley than trying to connect to both sides of the fuse. The + lead can also be connected to the hot side of any hot fuse in the panel, then probe with the – lead.
The engineers are calling it dark current, of course they have no clue what is a normal draw, hence "check a similar vehicle". lmao

We have a2019 Outback, we pulled the DCM fuse out. The battery has not died anymore.
