2014 Subaru Outback CVT transmission. A costly repair..

Not a hard transmission to replace. Pretty straight forward. But a VERY costly repair if you ever need it. Steer clear of CVT transmission vehicles. They are unreliable and extremely costly! JW…

Jatco is the culprit. They have shitty transmission. Had to get mine replaces, but luckily it was still covered by warranty! Then the engine turned around & took a shit from bad head gaskets. Cost 4500(had Subaru of America pay). I have a 2015 Forester 8yr old not even 100k been a nightmare from day one. Electrical issues, trans & engine. Toyota or Honda is my next car. Subaru is a junk car company now.

A used cvt …!! Hahahaha
What a waste. Are they not aware that subaru is basically handing out unlimited mileage warranties on these transmissions because they are shit!? They could have got a brand new one from subaru for FREE

RC3 Yank says:

Did you have to do any sort of programming for the used transmission? I just did an install on one and it's in limp mode. Not having much luck finding any sort of relearn

Joe Smartballs says:

$3,800 for a used transmission in a $8,500 wagon. My 2015 Outback was appraised at 12k with about 69k miles. The leather seats are fake vinyle like a school bus seat. The clock don't keep time. The gas door don't open.

How many miles did it have
Before it went bad?
