Glad to see the socket set linked was a 6 point set. 12 point sockets continue to be sold but most of us know your primary sockets should be 6 point, they won't likely strip a hex head. We all need a deep set AND most of us need shallow/typical/short ones too! Thanks…

Dicks Slot Car Garage says:

So maybe you have and I just missed it but now that you’re building engines, it would be cool to see a video on specific tools needed for that application. One thing I actually want to see more in-depth on is sizing bearings with a mic. I watched one of your older videos but maybe sense you’ve built a few by now it might be better translated. I’ve always seen the plasti gauge stuff which isn’t the route to go on these engines or any serious engine for that matter. I also have a machining background just no engine machining.

What size for the elbows?

Just catching up on your content, sorry to necropost a comment. But if you do an updated one of these, or anyone is watching it now, I'd highly recommend starting w/ 6 point sockets (I like to have both a short and a deep) but it'll save you a lot of headaches with rounding off bolts. Like you said, a 10/12/14 will take apart most of the car. 17/19 are definitely nice to haves. Also a 3/8 inch breaker bar and a length of black plumbing pipe to really get some leverage on those PITA bolts.

More than Likely going to Home Depot this weekend to get these tools. Thanks for the list mate!

Ryan D says:

Not a single one of these tools are specific to Subaru…

Netfix says:

We’re aiming for a very similar style of channel my man, this is quality content! Keep it up! Love it. Let’s teach the people how to have fun with their cars! This is the kind of info people need to push them to start doing their own work. Keep it up.

Donald George says:

What brand torque wrench do you recommend?

Pete Harshaw says:

Just picked up an ‘18 base wrx yesterday, love your channel it’s straight to the point and cuts out all the bs that other car youtubers love

Plumede says:

Hey love your videos I just have a quick question for a daily driver in a area with (bad roads) and an occasional track day would you recommend hks gtiv or kw v1s ?

Justin Weltz says:

Been watching a lot of your videos lately, there's no doubt that you know your stuff when it comes to cars, subarus specifically, but from a content creator standpoint its very satisfying to see how enthusiastic you can be with certain topics and how well your body language matches your excitement, and that just makes your vids much more fun to watch in my opinion. Thought i'd share that.

Michael Wolf says:

Once again your timing is impeccable as I was over thinking all the tools I actually need. One other important tool is a torque wrench but not crucial. Anyway so stoked to see this channel continue to grow.

Kenneth LeBlanc says:

Search these "PITTSBURGH Panel Clip Pliers"
These are amazing at removing those plastic clips as well. You can usually get them in different sizes and they usually aren't that expensive as long as your not buying from the tool truck guys.

garrett welsh says:

“None of these are going to be Snap-on” I call that shit snap-off every single thing I’ve bought from them has broken

Panyck says:

I was bummed when I found out my sockets were too shallow to get my wheel lugs off. Guess I will be restocking my missing wrenches and adding some deep sockets pretty soon.

Bruce Holinight says:

Cordless Millwakie ratchet is the tool that made my build , promise it'll be you're favorite tool ever !

Big Neve says:

Another awesome video!!!

Romario Smith says:

Going HF today because the sales are crazy this weekend.

Pyro_&_Games says:

Thank you! 🙂

Logan Sheppard says:

I pulled my transmission(twice…) using a Canadian Tire 350 piece socket kit I for for like 150$ without any issues in exception to the axle but socket

Unwind says:

elbow wtf Lmao its a fuckin swivel jesus christ

Chas Gordon says:

Have you ever seen another great Subaru content channel on YT called MrSubaru1387? I love his stuff! (OK, not as much as yours, but you know, love has no bounds and the human heart can do a lot of loving. Don't be jealous. Come on now…)
He is a Subaru mechanic and he does a lot of different videos on cars he works on. But lately he has been on a tool kick and he seems to like these ICON brand tools from Harbor Freight of all places. But he also likes these very cool, Japanese tool brands and those are not cheap.

I have a pretty big collection of tools that I've gathered over the years. I used to work at a British sports place and we had a SnapOn tool truck that visited every week. So naturally I ended up with a lot of SnapOn tools and a SnapOn tool box to hold it all. LOL
That being said, this was a long time ago that I bought that stuff. About 30 years ago to be precise. The point of this long story is that these tools are still working and in great condition. They are expensive to buy, but man are they good!

Henley says:

Can you please do a video of the pinch weld jack pad
