I can feel some vibrations through the steering wheel in my 1995 Legacy,
although not through the car itself. It occurs mostly between 2200-2600
rpm. I haven’t checked the motor mounts yet.. or could it be the harmonic
balancer?
@ariessbrown2009 That describes me to a T. Sorry for the lapse in videos. I
got sick over Thanksgiving week.
that sounds more like an alignment issue
by any chance is this like a vibration when you push in the brake?, because
my legacy kinda rumbles picks up idle, and when i release it its fine…
I did this check, initially, due to rough running, which I later traced to
a misfire caused by low compression on one cylinder. I ended up selling the
car to a friend who wants to fix or replace the engine.
I’m just like you maybe worse when I hear a tiny noise I turn the music of
and Liaoning for the whole journey then panic for ages trying to think what
it is I get so paranoid that’s why I want a brand new car 🙂 good vid glad
to see your posting again 🙂
@mrbean022387 I think it was MOSTLY my imagination running wild. I get
paranoid about car problems. Idle still seems a hair rougher than I think
it should be, but I haven’t really investigated. Pretty sure it’s not the
harmonic balancer, though.
Did you figure out what the problem was? I would check out the harmonic
balancer because I test drove a legacy once that had a vibartion thoughout
the car and went to go look at the engine and seen the harmonic balancer
wobbling around at an idle. Also when you let out the clutch at higher
rpm’s or when acc fast does it bang when you engage the clutch. Or lets say
when your in traffic does the car jerk around when in gear. Thats the
problems I’m having with my car.
