mixing different kind of brands , sorry that’s a no go…

wrongfire says:

Thanks for the vid man! Love this car, didn’t need to jack it up or
anything, the small engine is so convenient in so many ways.

playstation2bigs says:

Why you don’t put a STP oil treatment blue bottle ???

Connor Smiley says:

wouldnt you want your car on a flat surface so the oil comes out of every
corner?

SubaruXT6 says:

i use Pennzoil 10w-40 High Mileage purolator oil filter nice impreza btw.
yup i l remove the cap to, makes the oil run out a bit faster. creeper make
its it harder, try to loosen the bolt creeper moves me away. FRAM ! OH NO !
never use FRAM! just did mine a week ago, had fram on it, changed it to
purolator. actually prevent the rubber from drying out and making it tight
when losing it for next change. i wouldn’t ever use 2 different brands :{
wooo ! good mileage ! Subarus run forever.

MercedesDieselGuy says:

I hope you didn’t hurt it. Internal engine damage is where I generally draw
the line.

MercedesDieselGuy says:

The oil change is do-able without raising the car, but I prefer ramps. If
anything gets trapped in the engine, it’s not much. I suppose, ideally,
four jack stands of equal height would be best, but that would be overkill
in my opinion.

John Story says:

Thank you for your guide. I have the same model, apart from running on just
one litre of oil as I have unfortunately realised today.

MercedesDieselGuy says:

@playstation2bigs I generally don’t use that stuff. I used it on my Vanagon
when I knew the engine had bottom end problems, but only in an effort to
thicken up the oil and get me home (it didn’t work). In general, if I
believe I have a healthy engine, I use standard oil only.

Connor Smiley says:

sweet, thanks for the quick reply. if you were in colorado i would pay you
to do work!
