under the steering wheel.
FYI: I have found that the mode switch and temperature adjust cables are
both accessible without taking out the glove box or steering wheel panel.
If lay your head on the floor you can clearly see both of them and there is
plenty of room to disconnect each.
Nice job but you do not have to remove vents. Take off lower panels either
side of console and disengage the cables for air vent and temp control.
This will allow you to completely remove the whole panel with ease.
Just a extra hint. Done this a few times if you take out the glove box and
remove the panel under the steering wheel. You can unclip the steel cables
for the air vents and the whole console then comes out and much easier to
work on. Mine was the auto model but looks identical. thanks for the video

Where did you get the tray you replaced full(2) din to put 1 din player?

thats what i was trying to avoid doing, is taking apart the whole dash, but
