今回スティーブはスバルのWRX STIに ISCというブランドの 車高調取り付け交換を自宅のガレージにてDIYでやってみました!リアは何とか無事に取り付けることが出来たのですが、フロントがなかなかの強敵で動画の最後でとある事件が起こってしまい撮影不可能となってしまいましたが是非最後までご覧下さいっ!

I have redone the suspension in quite a few Holden Commodores & I found out I have been better off using a torque wrench to tighten up the nuts & bolts as I've had a few come loose on me,particularly when the local roads were very bad (potholed) & don't forget to use loctite on the threads,Holden fit pinch nuts which are normally use once only but I've reused them by applying a dab of Loctite 243 (blue) or 263 (red) to the threads,if screwing into aluminium, the blue loctite is all that should be used.

The coilovers are good to retain the factory spring travel in cars which weren't originally fitted with super or ultra Low height suspension as fitting such springs to the standard non adjustable struts is illegal in Australia & an engineer will fail the car for that reason.

I've noticed a difference when redoing the older cars which have a few hundred thousand kilometres on them as it feels like you are driving a brand new car again, I just had to find the right place which could adjust the multi link independent rear suspension as Holden started fitting link arms into them in 2001,the first of the IRS Commodores did not have adjustable link arms fitted & were known to scrub the rear tyres out on the inside due to having excessive toe as the control arms would flex outwards under load.

I think it's also a lot to do with the rear control arm bushes as the inside bushes for some reason Holden made the inner control arm bushes out of nylon,so I replaced them with polyurethane bushes which has stiffened the rear suspension in the car up as the nylon ones went eccentric, the middle part of the Bush is supposed to be concentric with the outer part & I had a tyre scrubbing issue on the side with the offending Bush even with the link arms fitted.

All that I know is now I save a lot of money on tyres as they don't wear out as quick anymore,it also has a noticeably positive effect on fuel consumption as well.
