Your amazing with the videos!! ..i had a question for my 1999 Saturn SL2. I
recently swapped passenger side door (the entire door) and i wasn’t able to
find a harness so i had cut the wires from under the rubber boot cable and
connected the wires. Now, my dome light doesn’t work and neither do my
power locks/unlocks. What color wires have i connected wrong? I went by
colour coding. Thanks for reading. Appreciate any help possible.
haha no, I promise. One last note for anyone attempting this: I originally
bought a mount at O’Reilly’s, but returned it because the mount would not
fit unless I re-drilled the holes on the bracket. I tried 2 more of their
mounts, but they still weren’t drilled properly(holes were too small and
weren’t far enough forward to fit the two studs on the frame) before I went
to autozone and tried their mounts. We found a solid mount after going thru
4 boxes of frownie mounts, and it was a perfect fit!
@mjoekingz28 Some people asked me do i let it down on the ground first and
i said no.The engine weight has to be down on the subframe then loosen and
tighten the lower mount.
Rich, at 3:56 you show a mount. I have ordered the replacement mount as
show at the cranksaft pully. There are two on the Saturn. Do you have a
video on how to replace these both mounts? I see this one can be accessed
by removing the right tire, and slash guard. Not sure how else to remove
it, or the second mount like it, or where the second mount is located that
is exaclty the same mount. Any help?
I had the same problem, I changed the valve cover gasket and plug valve
cover gaskets, it doesn’t smoke anymore and there is no longer oil in my
plug cylinder.

The 00-02 sohc had intake manifold gasket problems have you checked for a
vacuum leak on the passenger side of the manifold.

I have the same problem in my 97 saturn sc1, the coldr it is the louder it
is. Let me know if you figure out whats causing it.

You have to look closely at the rubber for cracking separating or oil
damage.
I think I have to change the gasket? what you think?
@MrCorey83 let it all the way down full weight on the mount.

That is great news you cured the vibration in your car.
@omarG19100 Any bad mount might do that you need to check them all.

It does sound like you might have a exhaust leak there somewhere.

Hey rich, I replaced the top mount on my 02 s series , but still having
some vibration, should I change the trans mount and the dog bone mounts
too??…
i undid it without jacking the motor up. now i jacked it back into place.
should it be hard as hell to turn?

The three screws holding my mount broke and we cant get them out so I’ve
been driving without one, is that ok?
@TJHassis I do not have a video on replacing the strut mount you speak of i
will put it on my list of to do videos.

Sounds like you got them all.Have you tune up the engine recently.
