The Saturn overdrive is a fully synchronized unit that can be shifted-on-the-fly. When installing the unit, only minor modifications are required to the floorboard for the shifter. The Saturn is built to handle up to 300 ft./lbs. of torque, well within the range of a stock V8.
The Saturn is the original unit designed and developed by Warn Industries. The units were offered with the 6 and 10 spline internal assembly and the 26, 27 or 29 tooth output gear.
The Saturn overdrive installs directly on the backside of the transfer case through the inspection cover. No cutting or modification of the drivetrain is required. No relays and electrical connections required.

These are cool units. In 1970-1971 I drove my dad's CJ-5 with one to school. He had the Warn overdrives on both his CJ-5 and his old Willys. In 1970 the retail price for the kit was $325, so today's price seems reasonable.
Great video, very informative. Thank you Installing mine on a 1948 CJ2A now.
I definitely want to get one for mine I got two
Very good demonstration
Awesome video!! Demo please!!!
It looked like there was a neutral between overdrive and direct? Is it?
I have a late model 18 ,does it have hi and low range. I really don't know ? Also just subbed, thanks again.
Thanks for the great video! I wish there were such overdrive units for my Land Rover 🙁
I this the same over drive for a jeep truck t90
Are you familiar with Swepco Gear Oil?!? They claim reduced foaming, temperatures and extended life of the oil. The Land Rover guys in the UK swear by it. Keep up the good work.
Would love to see a driving video of it in action!
Great instructions and videography. A driving/shifting video would be great.
