Susan Redwine says:

My mouth fell open when I saw you drilled spot on center using half a spot weld from the top. You is da master!

Dan Stark says:

Do you know how to do the wiring for the pigtail, on this car? I have this exact car.

John Maring says:

Excellent informational video! Thank you. I'm not a mechanic, but I've had six Saturn S models since 1992 and I wish they were still being made.

Randy Smith says:

Doesnt look like the hitch is flush with the bumper – how far under the bumper does the hitch end up?

Alan Schulte says:

I'm thinking of doing this so I can tow my 12' boat with it… you think a 1996 SL1 with 148,XXX miles would be able to handle a 12' aluminum boat on a boat trailer (with the outboard still hooked up)?

xXPhasemanXx says:

How come you couldn't drill the last hole from the bottom? Is there a specific reason?

Trever Mead says:

Off topic a bit so I apologize.  I am interested in towing my 2001 Saturn SL1.  I do not have the manual.  Can I flat tow this model?   If so what do I need to do to it to make it safe to tow?  Thanks for your help!

Terrance Decker says:

I wonder if it's going to be possible to pull my boat with my saturn wagon….the boats like 2000 pounds ..but only have to tow it maybe 3 miles to the ramp..I guess if I go very slow and allow for 4times the stopping room I might be okay.???

Chubbysumo says:

Mine came with a class 1 hitch, and the s series usually had a 1000 pound total weight limit due to the lower weight rated tires.

richpin06a says:

I plan on towing a similar trailer.

SpareiChan says:

You are correct. I have a '00 SL2 5spd with a class 2 hidden hitch that I tow a 4x6ft trailer with. I try to keep the tow weight below 1/2 ton (trailer is just about 225lbs) and I've had no issue hauling a large motorcycle, riding mower, or furniture on it. Done it on both back roads and highway speeds.

I find it not much worse then driving the car with 4 people in it and luggage for a trip other then the fact I have to watch out for the trailer.

Also, Richpin, tks for the great s-series info.

PsychoCPU says:

the S series he put this one has the later model DOHC, which has 124hp. Not much more I know, but significant.

richpin06a says:

I bet if you want a hitch you can get one cheap.

Buick Mackane says:

Rich, now go out and get yourself a "SuperBumper" to attach to the hitch when not pulling a trailer. superbumper bot com
